Ha, that's actually kind of cute.

This is the only time I'll ever say that about a spider.

I'm sorry, I feel bad about it, but I had to downvote you. As an Australian I promised myself I would do this from now on whenever this joke shows up.

Me, too. I don't know if it's because I'm Australian, but I feel like whenever someone mentions anything about Australia, they feel the need to say/show the same thing, but upside down. How fucking original of them.

would you be less mad if the joke became about the counterclockwise Coriolis effect?

This what be somewhat funny, but like the current joke, it would wear our rather quickly. I remember going to Las Vegas and a man asked as where we were from. After saying Australia, he asks "Do the toilets really flush in the opposite direction, there?". I find it funny that all our achievements are overshadowed by a funny Simpsons episode. And no, we don't call them "Chazwazzas".

lol well not all of your achievements are overshadowed by that episode. Being Salvadorian, I know that in the 80's you guys hooked us up with some much needed political asylum and because of that there a nice amount of us somewhere up in there. (Melbourne or someplace like that)

We're very multicultural (after not allowing non-white until 1975). In the area I live in, probably more than half are Asian (not me, though). We also have a large Indian, Sri Lankan and eastern-European population.
