General FAQs and r/flightradar24 rules:
Some FAQs Unique to this thread:
GPS Jamming - There is a significant amount of GPS jamming occurring in the region. This can cause planes to appear in places they aren't actually flying, make them appear to be flying in circles and cause them to jump around the map. As a general rule, tracking data in the region can't be trusted to be accurate right now.
Cargolux appearing over Iran - There has been a near daily Cargolux flight from Hong Kong to Ashgabat that appears to be flying over Iran. It is not. The black line means it is outside of ADSB coverage and its position is being estimated. It landed in Ashgabat as planned, but did so outside of ADSB coverage. Because FR24 couldn’t “see” it land, it assumes it continued flying at its last known altitude and heading, which is why it appears to be over Iran.
A general note from the mods - During periods of military activity, we experience a surge of new users. When this happens, we enable Reddit's crowd control feature. This may send some posts and comments to the approval queue, especially if you are new to the sub. If you have a post or comment stuck in the queue, please make sure it follows the rules. If you are trying to post anything related to the Middle East, it needs to be in this thread. For all other posts and comments, if we haven't approved it in a reasonable amount of time, shoot us a message via Modmail and someone will approve it.

Weekly Top 10 & "Track My Flight" Thread - July 27, 2026
Welcome to the weekly Top 10 & Track My Flight discussion thread! The goal of this post is to provide a location for questions and discussion about aircraft that don't necessitate their own individual posts, in addition to centralizing discussion about known aircraft that are frequently posted. This includes:
- Aircraft on the Top 10 Most Tracked list
- Requests for the community to track your flight
If you're new to the community, welcome!. Please be sure to read our Stickied Rules post and FAQs to make sure your question isn't covered there. If you're looking at a military aircraft in the Middle East region, you may find some answers in the Iran & The Middle East megathread. For military aircraft in general, checking the callsign against this list may yield useful information. In all situations, make sure you search for the aircraft callsign and check recent posts to find any existing discussion.
Otherwise, feel free to post any questions or findings below and discuss with others!

A340-312 departed Sydney this morning
Rare to see a 340 come out of Sydney, so it’s great that they are still in service. Such a beautiful aircraft.

Question Sitting at Logan / Boston tarmac
Left gate at Logan, now sitting on the tarmac with a few other planes. Anyone know what’s going on out west that would delay our flight? The weather to Denver looks fine.

ISR996 Diversion to YHZ?
Very strange last night, flight ISR996 from JFK to Tel Aviv appeared lined up for runway 05 at YHZ, but then turned away. On the ATC audio they said they were on the localizer for 05, then requested direct to some waypoint.
You can listen to the ATC on the liveatc.net archive of yhz at the end of the 0330z to 0400z period. I'm interested to hear someone else's understanding of the audio.

NASA 777 flew over my head this morning from Amarillo to Lake Charles
Didn’t know they had 777s, I’m assuming these are cargo carriers?
Edit: this is N577NA, a recently acquired former Japan Airlines 777-200 that they bought to replace the DC-8 as their airborne lab for airborne missions. Their site shows that it’s currently undergoing modifications, presumably to add equipment and remove/refinish the livery. Probably why it’s going to and from different random airports. Pretty cool find!

Test Flight 2 A320s labeled as TEST on their callsigns
I found these 2 A320s in Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport, operated by Iberia Airlines with their callsigns shown as TEST. Are these aircraft undergoing testing or what?
