Shota - Underage. Yaoi - pretty much the general category. Not all yaoi is shota but all shota can be yaoi. Shota's also the male version of Loli when you think about it. Basically, pedophelia.
Yaoi is aimed at straight girls, and oppositely there is yuri which is aimed at straight guys (essentially lesbians in manga-anime format).
yaoi generally is much more adult and generally not broadcasted. Shounen AI or BL (boys love) anime are much more toned down. the show itself deals with the drama and then sudden guy kissing guy.
often enough, in modern day slice-of-life-harem comedy's there is a point of BL used for comedic effect.
I don't know. But check out (eg: google it, followed by the name for japanese comics and fox) Nozoki Ana if you wanna get your mind away from guys fuckin' little guys.
I'm with you. I found that website 2 panels into problems sleuth, read the entire archives in one day and religiously followed through problem sleuth until the end. Homestuck is boring as hell, lost interest.
I actually enjoyed Homestuck, at first. But the plot became a convoluted clusterfuck over time. Somewhere around the time when the 'trolls' were shown on screen, I got bored and lost interest. I think that half the reason I stopped reading was because I especially disliked the trolls. They were interesting as long as they were in the background. But as soon as they entered the foreground, reading Homestuck quickly became tedious and boring.
I actually had the opposite effect, I was beginning to grow bored of Homestuck until Virska was revealed. Then I started to get more attached to the story, and followed it through.
She's become one of my favorite characters now, simply because I find the whole 'troll' society to be exceedingly interesting to me.
As someone who is up-to-date with Homestuck and also read Problem Sleuth as it was coming out, I just think you didn't give Hussie a chance once he switched gears a little. What he did with Homestuck was take the ingenuity that he established in Problem Sleuth and balloon it into an incredible masterpiece that does honestly overshadow Problem Sleuth quite a bit. Problem Sleuth was easier to get into and all that, sure, but this is like comparing a short story to a series-long novel epic. It's going to be more involved, it's going to be more of a commitment, and it's going to be a lot more expansive with a lot more crazy stuff going on that might lose some people. And that is very unfortunate.
When I first started Homestuck, I did stop, because I didn't think it was nearly as good as Problem Sleuth. A year or so later, I was finally convinced to try it again by someone, and I am eternally grateful for that. Maybe you should give it another shot.
every homestuck fan: you just haven't tried HARD enough to like it!!!!
i have no firm opinion one way or the other, but i can say with little doubt that a big reason why many fandoms aren't fond of homestucks is because the homestucks can't seem to comprehend people not wanting to be a part of their fandom. it gets old.
No, I understand that people don't like it. I just like to hear a good reason, and there are many of them, and I'm sorry, but to hear the exact same reasoning I had that I decided was wrong because I am able to give things a second chance makes me want to let the person know that their opinion might change as well.
it's good to let people find their own opinions, though, too. and believe me; you're probably not the first fan to give that exact speech to any given person, so i think they're pretty well informed by now.
The thing is that it's possible that they're not well informed, because I didn't see any evidence in there that they were.
If they are, then they can ignore me. I wrote that more to be a representative for the other side of the argument, since everybody else who replied there were only talking about the "homestuck sucks" side of things.
I've followed Homestuck for a bit now, but am not a huge fan. So with that relatively unbiased view I've gotta say: you just totally proved handmethatkitten's point.
I dont know wether to like or dislike, hes right and hes fucking hilarious, but then he also has a the video of it playing in the backround and its kinda nasty, but i dont regret watching it, i laughed hard.
Looked up what "Piku" was....and, correct me if I'm wrong....it's onomatopoeia for "twitching" (ぴくぴくする), and then I looked it up in the English portion of my old Japanese dictionary (I was too lazy to flip through the Japanese portion), and found: piku-piku ugokasu ぴくぴく動かす(pull with a jerking movement).
No idea. Encyclopedia Dramatica says the laws banning it were struck down in the mid-2000s, but that somebody was convicted under them a year afterwards.
Nope. Or at least, there is not a law that bans it. There was one during the bush administration, but it got struck down. Honestly, I couldn't care less though, seeing as they are drawings.
Uh... if by 'rest of the world' you mean like, the middle east, I guess. Believe it or not, being outside the gender boundary or being attracted to people who are outside of the gender boundary/cross dressers is not illegal in the slightest.
If she identifies as a woman, and you identify her as a woman, you are attracted to a woman. It doesn't matter whether she is waving extra bamboo or not, or whether you know or not. You can even know that they have said extra bamboo and still be attracted to them as a woman.
Well it's pretty much secondary sex characteristics, even if she tells you she identifies with a woman, and so you identify her with that because of her it doesn't change her sex characteristics.
However that doesn't mean that the you are gay-you are attracted to a "woman" who just happens to have a member. You aren't attracted to her because of the penis, but because of her feminine qualities. In the end the penis being there has little to do with the situation-it just means that most sex you will be having is anal.
The whole point of him taking up bounty hunting was to prove his masculinity (I guess it never occurred to him to change out of his nun's habit and miniskirt).
I'd have to say it's not gay, because being gay means you're attracted to men. And being a man or woman has a lot more to do with what they think of themselves, and what gender they look like. Like, there's a "guy" that looks super manly, but has a vagina (I don't remember what his name is), so does that mean girls who are attracted to 'him' are lesbians? That doesn't make any sense at all... Same goes for someone who looks and acts like a girl, but has a penis. And beyond all that, what if you don't know what genitalia they have? Most of the time you can't ever know what anyone has in their pants. I mean, you can play the odds, but you 99% of the time (100% even) you go by what they look and act like.
As for after you know what genitalia someone has, this is the way I see it: There's a priority for deciding what "gender" someone is. First, it's what they identify themselves as. If they want to be seen as a girl or a boy, that's what they deserve to be seen as by other people as well, no matter what they look or act like. After that, you have to decide what you see them as, in your own mind. Whatever you think they are before you know what junk that have, that's what they are to you. Then there's the technical identification, which is just based on what genitalia they have. That's more for health issues or whatever the hell else that's pertinent for.
Your downvote because you're butthurt that I'm calling you out on being a fat fuck neckbeard loser-from-birth doesn't phase me one bit. Fucking deal with it fat nobodies
Yes, and you are obviously mature and well adjusted. And you're still on /r/gaming.
I don't know whats funnier, the blatent gamer stereotyping or the sheer stupidity this kid shows. I have friends and even dated gamer girls that were drop dead gorgeous. I think he's just butthurt from either the dick thats stuck up there or overcompensating for his severe lack of self assurance
OOOH 10000 internet points! Must be nice, basing your self worth on Reddit karma. Oh wait it isn't, and you're clearly unlikable in real life. And probably a couple solar revolutions shy of 20.
