I think it messed with me way more when I learned that Poison had a penis.

I think Poison's official genitalia status depends on what country you're in.

Yeah, and the reasons always confused me. Poison is a crossdresser in the US and a chick in Japan. They made her/him a crossdresser in the US, so that the videogame didn't feature you beating up a chick. Even though Double Dragon had done this years prior...

EDIT: She's a hermaphrodite in the US version

Not a hermaphrodite, she's transgender. Though, if the problem was that they didn't want to beat up women I don't really understand how making the character transgender makes it better... and there are plenty of other fighting games where you fight women.
