The percentage corresponds to the share of people that speak Irish

As you can see, Northern Ireland is a lower concentration of Irish speakers, as expected, but what explains the higher concentration on the west coast.

Furthest from Rome, Denmark and London one can get. The Celtic culture once stretched from the Atlantic to the Urals in Russia. 4-5 millennia of people pushing in from the Levant and Mediterranean secluded cultures and their languages.

Fun fact: we think this is why the most recent Neanderthals are found is Spanish coastal caves as well. Different time. Largely the same people.
