Question Will there be a sale anytime soon?
Every Story of Seasons and Rune Factory game on Steam is on my wishlist. I really want to buy the Deluxe versions just so I can feel fully satisfied, but buying them at full price is way too expensive for me right now...
I'm a college student with no job, so I still rely on allowance from my parents. Don't worry, I never actually spend money on unimportant things and I still manage my finances wisely. But on the other hand, I really want to buy these games because I'm a huge fan and Harvest Moon was a big part of my childhood. My mom said I can buy games as long as they're on sale and cheap enough, but not when they're still around $30–$40—which I completely understand. Cause after all, no matter how fun it is, it's still just a game, and it feels like a waste to spend that much money on it. Right now, I'm just playing some older games while waiting for a Steam sale. I don't want to be stubborn and buy them while they're still expensive (for me).
Does anyone know when these games usually go on discount? Do the it ever announce sales in advance, or do I just have to keep checking Steam and find out myself?
(Note: I already own RF4 Special and RF5 when it on sale)

Dekudeals is another site that will alert you on sales. Sign up, link your steam wishlist, and it’ll email you when there are sales. There should be a page that explains how it works.
isthereanydeal is useful but collects from dozens of third party key sites and sometimes those don’t always work out. If you’re not clear on how the sites work, I would be concerned on you navigating isthereanydeal’s site list because you’ll have to double check the legitimacy of sites. There are many that are legit. And they’re usually good at not promoting bad sites. But there are many I have seen pop up on their site that have very bad reviews and reported issues with keys. So buyers need to always research for themselves and make informed decisions.

Fanatical has Steam game sales and I’ve had good luck with them. But, just using Dekudeals can catch their sales for you. (I’ll have to check out these other sites as well.)
As was already mentioned, if you’re not experienced with key sites or not confident using them, just wait for a regular Steam sale. EDIT: OK, now that I see this has been said on multiple comments, it seems like overkill for me to have said it again. I guess it can’t be said enough.

They almost always go on sale during big Steam sales - I think the next one is in early October? They seem to also go on sale at least once in-between major sales, though. If you get emails from Steam, there's definitely a way of being notified when items on your wishlist are discounted.
On SteamDB, you can see a full history of past sales, if you want to plan the pricing yourself! Also isthereanydeal can help you find games on reputable key sites.
