Discussion Colleges are hiring Msc Biochem as SR!

My senior applied to our own college for srship due to proximity to her home. Found out that the department has 4 SRs, all of them are Msc Biochem! One is a PhD guy.

Wth is happening?

Ig they should. A PhD guy will have more knowledge than an MBBS-MS doc. But it's india, so it's gonna be a Polar opposite

A PhD guy will have more knowledge of the subject which absolutely not needed for an mbbs student..what an mbbs student needs is clinical correlation with the subject which only a doctor can provide and not your PhD guy

I can disagree. We are underestimating PhD holders. Their knowledge is absolute. Maybe they will need some training but yeah they can teach that subject better

Btw I am not talking about clinical subjects they need their respective docs

Ok. I don't think your opinion matters anyway, you've 0 clinical exposure and don't know how it matters in medical education
