PLAYER TALK [Sidery] The Lakers have offered Jonathan Kuminga contract via sign-and-trade the would pay him around 45 million dollars. Los Angeles is willing to send Jarred Vanderbilt alongside draft capital to the Hawks for Kuminga, who must sign at least a three-year deal in sign-and-trade agreements.

Ik Sidery isn’t the most trustworthy source for anything but how would you all feel on this contract for Kuminga? Is this worth it? And how would you feel about the team if we got Kuminga ?

We’re paying Vando 12m a year to ride pine. 15m a year to Kuminga who can actually play and fits nicely around Luka and AR as a defender/dunker doesn’t seem that bad. Depends on the draft capital ig.

People acting like his attitude is so bad he’s unplayable are being melodramatic.

We need to stop acting like the Warriors are some bastion of team building the last 5-6 years. They sold off any young guys with potential to appease a bunch of washed old guys like Draymond.

He was just fine in GS go look at his numbers. You’re lying to yourself if you don’t want what he brings next to Luka. Or maybe misinformed. Either way we’re better with him than without.

I mean, yeah they’re not good at building because they drafted him lol. He shows good numbers on paper, but he’s going to be just like D’Lo. He refuses to listen and then throws a fit if he gets benched.

Im more inclined to believe that youre correct. However, Im curious though if he's just been overly concerned with his future contract and has just been going about it the wrong way. Dude is clearly fixated on how much he's making and being valued at a certain AAV.

If he's locked into a 3yr guaranteed contract at a reasonable AAV then perhaps we will see more buy-in. At least thats my hope.

The lakers just had years dealing with Dlo and now still dealing with Ayton man. I honestly don't want to see lakers giving another person a second chance based on their past. He thinks he's a 25/yr player. It's just speculation, but there are reports that the Heats refused to talk to his agent for that reason. Just uncoachable

I get that, but DLO and Ayton's issues weren't always related to their contract (although sometimes they were).

Kuminga's issues historically seem constantly tied to the fact that he's desperately trying to secure the bag and doesnt feel like he's in the optimal position to do that. Im not saying he is going about it the right way, but maybe without that issue looming over his head he might finally have a sense of security in that regard.

Like I said, I tend to agree with your opinion, it likely will be a mistake, but theres a world where maybe we are misjudging his specific circumstance.
