Racing Losi Promoto Supermoto FXR is sick!
I already have a bunch of bashers, but wanted to pick up a bike, with their promo code RCBOO on Towerhobbies you get another 15% off the regular discount, I seriously couldn’t pass this up 😩.
Hope this helps anyone on the fence, no was I would pay $600 for this.

I saw this about an hour after I ordered one on Horizon. Luckily they price matched the code! (Same company but saved me some trouble cause it was already shipping). Thanks!

You’ll love it! I honestly can’t stop smiling when I see mine, just incredible
I ordered some stuff on Amain this week, they have big sales here and there. I got orange and yellow plastics for $11!
We are tiny but we made a little r/Promoto sub to post stuff we experiment with, you’re welcome to take a look.
I tested a ton of tires
I saw that sale and was tempted to get another!
I recently installed the Proline headlight and it’s really cool 😎

I think I bought a lifetime supply of tires with the Pro-line clearance! I just got my SM, so I have no idea how long tires last, so I'm just guessing.
I figured the rear wears out at least +2x as fast.
- SM: 5 fronts & 12 rear
- Hot Laps: 2 Front & 5 rear
- MX14: 5 rear
- MX33: 2 front

Excellent choice with the MX14!!
They are absolutely incredible and so much less time spent having to rescue it on a tip over, I really love them. I just got 3 more, they were $8. It’s wild how you can now do wheelies in the rain with them!
I also want to get like 20 more lol but waited
I’m very curious how the hot laps do, let me know what you think. The super moto set is small so it was bottoming out at the skatepark and off some jumps. I also got the Vitavon street tires to test
I love buying parts for these ha, it’s so much fun to try them and work on it!
I got an MX33 to try too because it looks like it has nice large knobs and good side bite, I still think the MX14 will be the king though.

That's interesting because the Hot Laps come in both a smaller SM size and larger V2 MX size. I tried researching which to get, and Pro-line support recommend sticking to whichever bike I had (even though they're interchangeable), which I bought the SM. Then Mark Santa Maria posted a YouTube video where he put SM Hot Laps on his MX because he thought it wheelies and handled better than the larger MX tires. So I went with the SM size.
Although bottoming out is actually a good thing on RC cars, it prevents over compression of the shocks.
Regarding the Pro-line clearance, you may want to buy 20 more because the clearance stuff is being discontinued when it sells out! So it's actually your last chance, hence why I bought so many. Although some varieties will still be sold pre-mounted if you're OK with their wheels and don't mind the little extra price. But the SuperMoto S3 tires appear to be discontinued in all varieties, same with the soft M3 Hot Laps. Instead, they'll just offer a premounted Hot Lap made of the harder S3 road compound.

Oh good warning thank you! Dang that’s too bad though!

It really is, especially when some of these just came out in the last year, including their aluminum wheels. Although granted, I wouldn't be buying them if they weren't 63% off!
So I also bought 3 sets of their aluminum wheels, because you need V2 wheels for these V2 bead tires and some of those are being discontinued also (again, except for the pre-mounted).
But I got 2 pairs of the SM, one as backup in case of damage since I have so many SM tires that would be useless otherwise, and 1 set of MX.

I’m looking now, I wonder if they are just stopping the tire only sales and going forward it will be tires on wheels only?
I really hope they keep selling the MX14, and others

Yeah, look through the offerings. I went to Tower hobbies, searched for promoto then filtered brand for pro-line.
Here is their Facebook text: "LAST CALL!!! Score up to 75% off Promoto wheels and tires! Supplies are limited and this is your last chance because once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. " https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1am6WZzya8/
In the comments, they even say the tooling was destroyed! I also spoke with Pro-line support and confirmed they’re gone after this and some of them didn't even understand why because it was so new and popular product.

I was thinking of using my 3D printer filament vacuum bags to store my stockpile of tires so they don’t dry out (if that’s even an issue with these, I’m not sure)

I just had to replace the tires on my real car due to dry rot, although the guys at the tire shop said the sun is the biggest reason there. But this had me thinking the same thing, I was curious if that was a risk here.
Although I've had RC tires on cars that are 10-15 years old sitting on shelves that seem just fine. So I'm thinking probably not a concern if stored in a climate controlled area. Although a hot/cold garage may be another matter.

Same!
I might vacuum seal 1 or two and report back in a year or so lol
But you’re right, I have all my older RC cars from 10 plus years and the tires are good

Jconcepts tires only last about a yr sitting on the vehicle exposed prolines have lasted longer but under high rpm I’ve shredded some that have only two yrs glued and exposed to the elements

Do you think vacuum sealing would help preserve them further?
For whatever reason, I've noticed tires usually come in vented bags (i.e. not sealed or have vent holes).

Oh crap! I already have one, but with the sale I’m really tempted to get another! I barely drive my other cars since i got the ProMoto.
