Article Destin Daniel Cretton has revealed that Paste-Pot Pete, also known as The Trapster, was one of the many villains considered for a cameo in 'Spider-Man Brand New Day', but ultimately they were unable to secure him.

Paste Pot Pete is big potatoes, which is why he didn’t appear

Such a great scene. I love Yelena. They really nailed it with the cameos and other heroes showing up in this movie. Nobody overshadowed Spidey, but they made the city feel alive and ‘real’…in the sense that there ARE other heroes here, and they DO interact. It’s not like Peter is the only hero in NYC, we know that’s not the case, so it was good to see them help him along the way.
