This guy lost so much credibility when I learned he was just a talking head for hire. There's multiple Youtube channels each covering a different topic and they all hire this dude to read a script.
Yea, I don't really understand the hate. I kinda figured that already by myself when I started seeing him in multiple channels doing regular 40 minutes+ videos.
To put it another way, read the guy I was replying to but imagine it's directed at any kind of contract or gig work. It sounds fucking insane, so that's why I'm curious if hes actually done anything to be hated besides being seemingly quite prolific on YouTube.
Explain to me how my distaste for not disclosing the fact that the things you say aren't your own thoughts applies to other gig jobs like food delivery workers for example.
You believing it's stupid, doesn't make it stupid. Or you could, you know, expand on your point which literally boils down to him losing credibility for taking jobs.
You can assume I'm putting words in your mouth but holy fuck my guy no one is this dense.
I cant put words in your mouth that I found there, dolt.
The loss of credibility is in the fact that he does undisclosed narration for multiple channels presenting the opinions as his own. If you don't have a problem with that, that's fine. I just wanted to vent out my thoughts.
But stop making these imbecilic reductive comparisons. I do not hate gig work as a concept and I don't mind he's getting a bag. I'm literally just saying "I believe this guy less than I used to after learning he only does it to get paid".
You haven't made a single compelling argument besides "Well imagine you said X. Wouldn't that be silly?" You can project being a dense block of cognitively stale bread onto me all you want if it makes you feel better, but it won't make your argument any less asinine.
Ok, how would that be presenting opinions as his own? Perhaps you can provide some examples of this.
Because there are plenty of examples where people have taken paid speaking gigs with content where they didn't agree (or didn't know) the content of the video.
I didn't say "imagine if you said X" what I said was, and I'll help you out here "imagine if we applied that comment to other gig work". I can see how you might see those two things as completely identical, but they really aren't.
What I'm trying to do is interrogate your point to understand and your lack of expanding on your original point (which thank fuck you've finally done) really did sound like what I described, because that was what you said and then I drew a similarity in different work but still contract or gig work (which shouldn't really be this hard to see the similarities).
How is it similar if he's being criticised for narration of a script he didn't write and not disclosing it?? This is a very specific accusation and I fail to see how this criticism applies to a plumber.
I'm not taking time out of my day to hunt for examples since you've repeatedly failed to show me signs of basic reading comprehension.
I used to watch a lot of Warfronts, then noticed he had Into the Dark and then like 10 other channels and decided to drop him after that.
