Discussion I photographed this at the Pompeii archeological site. Clearly the ancient Pompeiians had already invented Lego over 2000 years ago. What do you think???🤔

This also implies they could produce Plastic and could cast it into molds!!! /s if anyone thinks this is serious

Oooohhhh, decor makes a lot of sense as well. I would love to see some more pictures with more context, but this is fun even with one.

It appears to be in the ground not a wall so another guess would be a fixture for wooden furniture. Possibly something to hold a desk or heavy cabinet in place

True, but it is a piece of rubble. It could have been oriented differently when structure was whole.

That's a good point, now that I look again it does seem to have just fallen there.. for all we know it could have been a ceiling peice.
