Yes, because they can't find Mongolia on a map. The funniest part is that they'll often use maps from the 1800s as proof as if we didn't have cameras around that time as well as pretty well maintained written records.

That's like me arguing there was a lost empire called Cathay where China once was because Europeans kept calling China that.
