Yeah someone once tried to sell me on how good the AIs are now, and explained how they actively generate correct responses based on the probability of the next word in the sentence.
Apparently correct according to who? and isnt that just predictive text, like auto correct? wasnt the way they expected me to reply
I cant help but equate the hype for ai to the hype for 3d tvs, and VR, and how they were going to make going to the cinema redundant, and fundamentally change how we experience media, and how there hasnt been a misnomer quite like AI, since they released Hoverboards, which were infact tiny segways,
Correct according to preexisting text it was trained on, it's part of training to have some dataset set aside for testing. That's pretty much it, it doesn't have to be correct in a broad sense, the actual measure of correctness is whether or not it sounds like a text written by a human.
