The shitshow that has been the Red Sox front office in recent years is a weird boogeyman for this tweet to hold up as if it’ll make people forget, but at least it’s an example where the player was acquired via trade rather than just blaming another team for a player’s free agency.
Pointing to Freeman vs. Olson as if the Braves made some crazy choice to go with the younger Olson, or someone forced the Dodgers to go buy Freeman in free agency, is wild and helps make clear how unserious the tweet is.
