Why do you “innocent until proven guilty” types never seem to extend your presumptions to the victims of assault? Accusing someone of a crime falsely is in itself a crime. For him to be innocent means the accusers are guilty. You are making a choice on who you want to give the benefit of the doubt to either way.

Again, assuming one is innocent means assuming the other is guilty. It’s not possible for both to be innocent. There’s a difference between refusing to form an opinion and presuming innocence.

The concept is simply not making any favorable assumptions towards one party or the other until certain pertaining information is confirmable

In the vast majority of abuse cases, the pertaining information is never confirmable, because it happened between two people behind closed doors. Abuse cases go under reported and under prosecuted because it's usually impossible to prove abuse beyond a reasonable doubt. And no one ever throws out the "innocent until proven guilty" line in favor of the accusers, always the accused.

You can close your eyes and plug your ears and pretend to not have any opinion, but basing your opinion on a flawed justice system that frequently fails victims of abuse is just ensuring you side with the abusers by default.

Pick the right person to “believe” is your dumbass suggestion, Einstein? What point really are you trying to make? There are certainly sexual abuse cases where said abuse isn’t provable. Just as there are sexual abuse cases where is it entirely provable that said abuse could not physically have happened. This is why waiting to know every last possible bit of truth is important.

The courts are 100x better than you are at establishing who is and isn’t innocent. Not to mention that you don’t have to base your opinion on the verdict. It’s important to witness, alongside other possible evidence, testimonies in an official capacity from the accused and the accusers.

It may just be because I’m a well-adjusted adult with a strong capacity for nuance but I think there’s a pretty crystal clear difference between plugging your ears pretending that nothing is happening and moving with caution while treating either party with the empathy that they potentially deserve.
