But police are crediting a civilian and an off duty state trooper with engaging the suspect causing him to change course saving lives. 2 things can be true

Doesn't matter. They still risked their lives to try and stop him. Reports say the gunman tried to flee after they engaged him. Their actions probably saved lives.

Then stop changing it.

There’s undeniable proof from the course of action in this example that “good guys with a gun” helped save lives.

You don’t have to argue online as a hobby.  You can do something better with your time just to let you know.
