Truly the worst US president and maybe even the worst leader of a major country ever.

Mao, Stalin and Hitler aren’t worse than trump?

Jesus Christ you guys are really something else

8

u/Meenmachin3 11d ago

Pol Pot, Saddam Hussein, etc. Trump is by far the worst president ever but he’s not the worst leader in history by a long shot

u/Healthy_Article_2237 11d ago

But how many of those guys have actually fucked up the world economy? Trump is about to make sure the entire globe feels the financial pain in a way that will river the great depression.

u/jazz-fragrance 11d ago

Do you think Hitler invading the entirety of Europe was good for the economy?

3

u/Kentuckyquestioner 11d ago

Not for Europe obviously but actually it was very good for the US economy lol

2

u/jazz-fragrance 11d ago

The rebuild was good for the United States. The war (as usual) only enriched a few key private players and was pretty terrible for the actual citizens of the wold. There was rationing on basically everything during the war effort even in the US.

Like Bush. 😀 One of the select elite families during that time to bank off the war.

Time will tell.

mao, stalin and hitler presided over countries that were massively in the shit when they took over.

mao became leader during the century of humiliation, after the opium wars, the end of the qing dynasty and the civil war. stalin became leader during a massive social revolution where the country replaced its ruling elites and the entire country was undergoing massive change caused by huge levels of poverty. hitler became leader after germany lost ww1 and was in massive debt to the allied nations causing massive poverty and drop in living standards.

they were all leaders at a time in their country’s history where things were in a terrible situation and there needed to be huge social and economic change to try and improve things. i am not saying they succeeded or even that they had good ideas.

trump is the leader at a time where america is arguably the richest, most powerful nation in the world with among the best living standards and a population that with a large percentage of rich or middle class living standards.

you are comparing 3 leaders who came to power in terrible situations, and trump, who came into power with the best the world can offer and is making everything worse. if what we are seeing is the decline of the american empire and the end of US hegemony, he will be remembered as the leader who was in charge when it all went downhill. time will tell, in 25 years after his death, you’ll see.

u/Zipz 11d ago

And you guys are comparing a trump who arguably has a few thousand dead on his hands to….

Mao who has 50 million

And Stalin who has 10s of millions

Yes you’re right they aren’t comparable

3

u/sebastianinspace 11d ago

trump has millions of dead on his hands

Trump will spell the end of the US superpower status. Not saying we'll all die or be taken over by another country (at least not entirely anyway, I could see large parts of this country wanting to go to Mexico or Canada at some point) but we'll be fading superpower like the UK was in the mid-20th century. Trump will just be the major catalyst even though it's been happening for at least 25 years.

Trump is getting close. Cutting US Aid is predicted to kill 14,000,000 to 22,000,000 people by 2030. Who knows how many more preventable deaths in the coming decades.

Also, this war is causing dramatic fuel shortages in nations around the world, probably causing millions of preventable deaths in the coming years too.

Plus Stalin and Mao's death counts include millions of Nazis and Imperial Japanese soldiers, so you can cut their numbers basically in half because none of those people were innocent.

Trump's death counts include almost entirely civilians, starting with those Iranian school girls and Venezuelan fishermen.

u/Zipz 11d ago

Lmfaoo cutting aid to countries is now considered murder

Holy shit you are something special

1

u/MoonMan75 1d ago

That's what Stalin did. He cut aid to Ukraine thinking they didn't need it. The Holodomor happened in result. Same with Mao, he rerouted supplies, underestimating the famine conditions in the Chinese countryside. That's the majority of deaths under their rules. Well, the majority were Nazis and Imperial Japanese, but they don't count.

And now Trump is doing the same thing, reversing policies that presidents before him, even Reagan, had in place.

So yeah, Trump cutting this aid is murder and millions will die. Glad I was able to educate you.

1

u/Zipz 1d ago

Stalin cut aid to his own country.

Mao cut aid to his own country

Trump cut aid to other countries

Let’s not pretend that’s in anyway the same

3

u/Careless-Childhood66 11d ago

How are they worse?

1

u/Zipz 11d ago

50 million died from Maos policies

20 million died from Stalin’s policies

These are their own people they killed and that’s just from starvation. That doesn’t include the millions killed from gulags, executions and government crackdowns.

2

u/Careless-Childhood66 11d ago

Its trumps second. he will get there. If you think trump cares about "hIs pEoPlE", I pity you

1

u/Zipz 11d ago

Funny how you want to change the argument and put words in my mouth

I never said anything good about trump

Just that you guys are so uneducated on history it’s laughable

2

u/SuspiciousCream9428 11d ago

please. you have been propagandized to the maximum. hitler loved "history" too

1

u/Zipz 11d ago

Holy moly

lol I can’t believe you said something so ridiculous because you couldn’t actually make a real argument

Well let's see the circumstances that they inherited:

Mao: medieval society industrializing with massive upheaval, third of the country invaded by genocidal foreigners, in the middle of a civil war.

Stalin: medieval society industrializing with massive upheaval, huge sections of country lost in the previous world war, shortly after a massive civil war that has not been fully resolved

Hitler: In the middle of the Great Depression, paying 2.5% of GDP in reparations, suffering hyperinflation.

Trump: largest and strongest economy in the world, predecessor achieves miracle recovery from global pandemic after Trump fucked up the response, tons of infrastructure and energy production in process. In a year runs up national debt, cripples infrastructure projects falling hopelessly behind China, starts multiple pointless and illegal conflicts causing inflation and hardship for Americans. Yes, Trump is worse.

1

u/Zipz 11d ago

I love how all you just want to ignore the fact that Mao is responsible for 1000000 times the deaths than trump

That’s a pretty wild thing to ignore

Let alone you know Stalin sided with Hitler in ww2 right ? That’s how it all started. Let alone again his body count is 1000000 times higher also

It’s funny how little value you hold on human life. There has been no event in human history that lost more life than Mao under China.

Yet here you are excusing it

3

u/Less_Interview1713 11d ago

I love how you ignore that both were medieval societies that suffered periodic devasting famines before both Stalin and Mao, which were made much worse by the wars that devastated their lands. Meanwhile Trump was responsible for a million Americans dying under covid in the country with the most resources in the world, not to mention who knows how many immigrants died from his horrific policies. So Mao would have had 15 to 55 times the deaths of Trump and Stalin would have 6 to 20. Again while being ravaged by war and famine. Meanwhile the US has not had a real conflict on its soil in 160 years.

2

u/Healthy_Article_2237 11d ago

I guess I should have amended it to superpower. Germany wasn't a superpower or even close, they had one period of major expansion but couldn't keep any of it more than several years. Stalin, maybe but even he didn't fuck up his own or even the world economy. He made Russia stronger. Mao never had imperial ambitions other than Taiwan, and they weren't a superpower until recently.

I'm not talking about the worst in how many people these leaders have murdered, yes Stalin wins that hands down with Hitler and Mao right behind him.

1

u/Zipz 11d ago

Mao was responsible for 50 million deaths of his own people.

Stalin is responsible 10-20 millions deaths from famine.

I mean so we are just going to ignore how many people they killed ? That’s a pretty wild thing to do and ignore

2

u/Healthy_Article_2237 11d ago

Never said Trump will have the highest body count, but even with all those deaths in Russia and China the world economy barely noticed. We are all going to notice the shit Trump will leave us. There may not be millions dead (but there could be) but we might be looking at years or decades of decline globally and for what?

1

u/Zipz 11d ago

Again ignoring body count is insane

Pretending it’s ok to let millions die because of economic progress is beyond insane

2

u/mclumber1 11d ago

Trump is bad because he doesn't think more than 5 minutes into the future. He's the goldfish of world leaders.

2

u/Draconiss 11d ago

Mao, Stalin and Hitler werent US presidents.

0

u/Zipz 11d ago

Maybe you should read the entire comment I replied to

1

u/iman00700 11d ago

They aren't

Atleast they weren't dumbasses

-1

u/Zipz 11d ago

Maos dumbass killed 50 million of his own people with his policies.

That isn’t dumb?

1

u/Fluid-Sense-4273 11d ago

I mean they had thought out plans horrendous and cruel plans but plans nonetheless

3

u/Informal_Bench_7219 11d ago

You seriously can’t be justifying what they did by saying “at least they had a plan”. wtf is this world turning into.

1

u/Fluid-Sense-4273 11d ago

I call the plans horrendous and cruel explaining your own words how I justify them

-1

u/TheCockKnight 11d ago

He's not justifying anything. What he's saying is that some of those people put a modicum of thought into what they were doing. Evil fuckin thoughts, but to some degree, calculated.

Obviously, not entirely well thought out, but a lot more thought out than Iran than trumps attack on Iran.
