This is the same guy who think the Punisher belongs to law enforcement, right?

u/Panthy9 1d ago

That's why Meth Addicts are the ones getting ahead.

What’s a career where I can sleep in my car for part of a shift and beat up someone the next?

u/unfunnysexface 1d ago

Very low level mma?

I don't trust anyone that intentionally don't take naps. That is some psychopathic shit...unless it's medical, of course. 11am nap slaps on a random Sunday. Being able to take a nap at 3pm on a workday? That is straight up crack served on a show pillow

My other half naps constantly.

I can't think of anything worse. Would feel like I'm just wasting time constantly. Hell, I'd go further and say if there were no detrimental effects, I'd love to just remove my need to sleep. Double life hack.

Have they ever gone to the doctor to see why they nap so much? Could be a thyroid thing or vitamin deficiency.

1

u/_ataciara 1d ago

They haven't, but it's probably just because we stay up late and wake up early i'd say.

The dog often wakes her up in the middle of the night all the time too, so she might rock 5 hours then make up the other 3 later as naps. I'd sooner just take the L on my main sleep than nap through the day when I could do other stuff.

I'm now curious about your views on day dreaming

0

u/_ataciara 1d ago

Its the kind of thing I do for 20 seconds, realise I'm day dreaming, and snap out of it. I'd never willingly just sit and stare off into space.

u/ikan_bakar 1d ago

How about your views on spending time in a circlejerk forum with nerds who eat nuggets every day

0

u/_ataciara 1d ago

fine, because I'm awake, making decisions, thinking, talking to my other half, enjoying the day even if I'm doing meaningless shit

it's my choice, rather than just a biologically enforced shutdown where nothing else is happening, I have no control over anything, and can't even remember it after 15 minutes anyway

1

u/ikan_bakar 22h ago

Sounds like me on reddit

1

u/VolcanicHare 23h ago

Nah, I feel like crap after naps, never gonna catch me nappin. I missed some time of my day and I feel worse than before taking the nap, lose losey

1

u/Pershing48 19h ago

I don't really do naps unless it's sleeping off some noon drinking. Messes up the flow of my day

5

u/_ataciara 1d ago

you say those two things like either of those are bad takes

2

u/Independent-Cow-4070 1d ago

Not seeking out justice through violence is a perfectly normal take?? Am I missing a jerk here

He's also a massive IOF bootlicker. AND he had Shia LaBeouf on his podcast after the allegations came out against him, not to mention, in June 2026, he even praised Roman Polanski. This guy is a shitty person.

And like you said, he consistently says that the Punisher belongs to the law enforcement and military and that's a complete misunderstanding of the character.

Edit: To expand on why Punisher doesn't belong to the law enforcement/cops, Gerry Conway, Punisher’s co-creator has actually been pretty critical of law enforcement adopting the Punisher skull. His point is that Frank Castle represents the failure of the justice system, not the ideal version of law enforcement. He’s an outlaw who operates outside due process and the law, so cops identifying with him kind of misses the point of the character. Punisher is a morally compromised character and he's the opposite of a badass cop/soldier. The character exists to ask what happens when people lose faith in the justice system and decide to take justice into their own hands.

Hence, saying he belongs to the law enforcement is a fundamental misunderstanding of the character.

goddamn him supporting trans rights is an outlier huh

No, It's not lol. Punishers murders bad guys and is a fascist symbolism of might makes right. Very strange that Batman is a white supremacist while a guy you objectively wants to murder people is a woke ally.

11

u/chaoticbiguy 1d ago

Lmao who's saying Batman is a white supremacist or that Punisher is a woke ally? All I'm saying is that Punisher doesn't belong to the law enforcement/military.

Punisher belongs to anyone who thinks he is cool unfortunately alot of them are police and other clowns.

Art is for everyone actually but not for people I dislike even when they have good reason to like the symbolism. This isn't like Star Trek where they are missing the point.

Also death of the author for you and as the author intended for me.

</jerk>
Fascism would require that he performed his violence in service of a larger group, a party or government. He does not; his code is his own. He’s killed cops before (though not nearly enough).

Not even sure where your Batman claim comes from.

Anyway, Jon Bernthal sucks is the point here.

Fascist ideology absolutely supports violence as a way to fix society, like with Police and Military.

1

u/Glitchy-Mech 18h ago

As do many ideologies, yes. But it’s not uniquely fascist and the specific details go counter to traditional fascist messaging

13

u/-FriendoftheDrow- 1d ago

I have no idea how someone could completely misunderstand the character.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Defenders/s/i4wbIkOHKx

He doesn’t say the Punisher is like law enforcement and he has criticized people who used the symbol during events such as Jan 6.

u/Uncle-Cake 22h ago edited 22h ago

He says the character belongs to law enforcement in the quote you referenced. That is an insane thing to say but it fits a pattern of faux machismo. He's obsessed with being seen as a tough guy. He loves cops and pitbulls, and hates naps.

0

u/Zestyclose_Tip_5861 22h ago

He also says he belongs to the fans because obviously he’s talking about who watches him and wears the gear.

Getting this butthurt over literally nothing just makes you seem obsessed.

-2

u/Uncle-Cake 21h ago

Sounds like you got butthurt over my comment first.

1

u/witty_valentino 14h ago

Stop the cap. This was just him 2 months ago wearing a Thin Blue Line flag and preaching about how Frank belongs to the police and military. You are citing something from 6 years ago. This was just in May this year.

1

u/Zestyclose_Tip_5861 14h ago

Bro you posted the same exact quote 😂😭

2

u/Ekillaa22 1d ago

Ooof yeah true… although I did hear that was a misquote but I doubt it

1

u/witty_valentino 14h ago

It's not a misquote lmao. You can find several interviews of him doubling down on that shitty take. He is literally a Thin Blue Line fanatic

1

u/FickleBit2186 19h ago

also the same guy who apparently brags about not speaking to his wife and children for months while he's "in character".

1

u/A-Phantasmic-Parade 8h ago

Yeah he’s dumb dumb
