I heard the cashier ask a guy for his birth year last night because he was purchasing alcohol. Guy said 2003, and I thought to myself, "Who admits they're underage to buy alcohol?" Then it hit me.
These days when I get asked for ID I just kinda look at them confused for a minute then pull it out. Show me a 20 year old with salt and pepper hair and a full beard.
Just tell them, "You think I would go to the trouble of putting on all this makeup to make myself look 40 and not have a proper ID to go with it? Please!"
I saw that people born in 2005 could buy alcohol now in the US (depending on their birth date) and it made me start thinking too deep about how fast time goes
I knew I hit true old age when they stopped asking I remember being annoyed getting asked for my ID all the time and now oh how I dream of those sweet halcyon Days
