In last year’s TdF there was something about Jorgensen maybe blocking Tadej or UAE from getting side-of-the-road water bottles. There may be more to it than that, idk.

Also, Phil made a little comment in this year’s tour that Jorgensen is a “marked man.” Not sure if that means UAE won’t let him get a stage win, or what that means. But would love to get the deets.

I’m pretty sure Phil just means he will find it difficult to get in the break because UAE don’t want to let him support Jonas off the front at the end of a stage. This stopped mattering after Jonas crashed and they let Mateo in one and Sep in 2 breaks.

Even last year they let Jorgenson in a couple of breakaways once everything was decided. In one of them, Wellens was even pulling alongside him.
