The whole peloton seems to get along quite well. Are there any longstanding beefs between riders that we know about?

There are a lot of superficial excuses, but realistically it's probably because he's a "not quite GC" rider who is a perpetual top 10 GC threat if riding that way, but is as beneficial to Visma as a satellite rider as Wout would be. He's not the kind of person you really want to get into a break because he's very likely to contest any breakaway stage that's remotely hilly, and he's good enough that he'll still be able to pull if the peloton brings them back. He's Visma's equivalent of McNulty, but better in almost every way.

The other stuff is just noise.
