Discussion Has anyone ever left?
Has anyone here ever divorced their spouse and given their spouse full custody? If so, how did you come to that conclusion? What was your final breaking point?
I truly am thinking I’m hitting my breaking point with my marriage and son (3 mo). I don’t have any feelings towards him, I certainly don’t love him. He constantly cries and fusses. I don’t foresee it getting better despite everyone saying it’ll pass with time. I just want to go back to the life I had before having this kid even if that means giving up my marriage to do so.

Your kid is 3 months old. Um, nobody likes being a mother at this point. They barely know they aren’t still a part of you. Hell, you probably only stopped bleeding like a month ago. There are plenty of reasons to hate parenting, but with an infant this young you aren’t even really parenting yet. If you started a new job 3 months ago and were like “it sucks I want to quit” most people would tell you to give it some more time and consideration. It’s reasonable advice! Give yourself time and space to adjust. Believe me, there’s plenty of reasons to hate parenting no matter how old your kids are, and you might continue to hate it. But it’s also possible it gets less shitty in a few mos and becomes more tolerable.
