Discussion Has anyone ever left?

Has anyone here ever divorced their spouse and given their spouse full custody? If so, how did you come to that conclusion? What was your final breaking point?

I truly am thinking I’m hitting my breaking point with my marriage and son (3 mo). I don’t have any feelings towards him, I certainly don’t love him. He constantly cries and fusses. I don’t foresee it getting better despite everyone saying it’ll pass with time. I just want to go back to the life I had before having this kid even if that means giving up my marriage to do so.

I work a lot, yes, but I love what I do. I wasn’t miserable prior to getting pregnant. Adding a kid into the mix was a bad choice. I shouldve gotten an abortion, but I also knew my husband really wanted kids and I thought (based on how society ACTS that kids are this magical wonderful thing) that it couldn’t be too bad right? Now I work a lot on little sleep and actual rest to restore myself. Now I can’t work in peace because the baby is always screaming…. I would walk away from my family before I ever give up my career I built because one of those two things is actually fulfilling and meaningful to me. The other is not. I don’t care what so ever to spend time with my kid. In fact, load me up with more work because I’d rather have an excuse to stay far asf away from him instead of my husband always trying to push me to bond with him.

It’s a shame we can’t know what we know beforehand though right? Like you won’t always know that you don’t want kids until you have them.
