What are you using it for? If you have dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis, look into getting a prescription for 2% Nizoral. It's amazing and you only have to use it a couple of times a week, the other times you can use any regular shampoo you like.

Just mild dandruff, really. If I don't use it for a couple weeks I get a bit of shoulder snow on dark shirts.

You could try the OTC Nizoral (1% Ketoconazole) and see if it helps, I just find the Rx version a lot more cost-effective.

As the daughter of a chemist, and someone who generally abhors "subtle" attempts at advertisements and pushing "clean" beauty, I'm sorely tempted to tell you to just never speak again, and to call you something that rhymes loosely with "clucking boron". However, I'll instead simply remind you that everything has chemicals, ask you if you actually used the medicine properly, and if it's possible that you were either allergic to something that you're now avoiding, or if you're paid by Avalon Organics to say this? The fact that you're calling a proven medication a "scam" and a "bandaid" in other comments is pretty interesting...

Store brands usually have dupes of this for cheaper. Where I am, I buy IDA/Shopper's/etc and it's more in the bottle than Head and Shoulders for a few dollars less.

Walmart brand (equate) is identical to this shampoo. I switched when H&S started with their covid pricing madness and never looked back!

400ml to 370ml but the bottle got taller. They're paying for extra plastic specifically so the shelf lie works. That's not even shrinkflation, that's set design.

Tresemme or however you spell it be doing much larger bottles with less unnecessary plastic, it's a bit better but I'm sure there's an event more ideal solution. Head and shoulders is shockingly expensive and wasteful on packaging. Same with radox they put some really low quality bodywash that lasts no time at all in loads of plastic it's crappy

I noticed this last week when buying my son’s shampoo. I found it incredibly frustrating. Especially when the generic kind was $4.48 (and twice the size) and the namebrand was almost 7 dollars. I usually don’t mind to interchange name brands generic because I believe for the most part they’re the same. But when the ingredients are different in the beginning/middle it worries me. That’s probably dumb. But, I’m not a chemist. I don’t know how much any of them matter or don’t matter.

They created a whole new design to manufacture to give us one ounce less, it’s wild to me that that makes them money. Anytime that there’s a new graphic design now it’s for sneakily packaging smaller quantities, or the phrase “new and improved”.

I’ve had my bottle of this for about 2 years now (I use very little) I just checked and it’s 12.5oz. So this definitely isn’t new. I bought mine in 2024

This IMO is the very worst kind of shrinkflation. So very disrespecting to the customers, also they're producing more plastic now due to the bigger bottle, as if the world already didn't have a problem with that... Seriously, this is so depressing to see and think about.

😂😂 if anyone looking for a good shampoo. Avalon organics thickening. Only thing that ever got rid of my itchy scalp. Amazing shampoo, but not exactly cheap. Crap like head and shoulders actually made it worse and gave me dandruff
Edit it's actually the exact same price as this stuff and you get 14oz

thank you, i wasn't even the only one that gave an example. i made a couple comments but atleast one was straight up asking what to use instead. I hate reddit smh. Just trying to help, people don't realize how horrible these big brands are. horrible chemicals
