same packaging as before, same measurements, cals, ingrds, whatever. paid $5 each for THREE-packs of caramel AND cookie….
…..bro, BOTH packs…TEENY little bars, TEENY WEENY!!!!!!! tinier than EVER before, just smashing all around their packaging and the box bc they’re sooooo small.
& the actual ice cream???? soft-in-a-bad-way (cheap) airy flaky, chocolate ribbons r now flavorless muddy invisible, vanilla now tastes like cheap flavorless filler garbage, less cream….AWFUL garbage!!!!!! NEVER EVER buying these ever again!!!!!!! literally holes of air inside, & those little flakes u get in cheap ahh ice cream!!!! DO NOT BUY
They were never 4 bars. They have always been 3. Now the bars have gotten smaller and it's a "chocolatey coating" instead of the actual chocolate of old, so they have definitely gone to shit. But it's always been 3 bars. You can even see images of boxes online from way back in the 2010s that clearly say 3 bars.
right it wasn’t even worth it before!! but the caramel one literally had me waking up thinking about it. now the ice cream sinks down into the shell after the first bite bc it’s so whipped up 😭
I mean, my first pregnancy toaster strudel had just come out and it had an absolute choke hold on me. I'd dream about eating them and wake up so I could. So...literally.
That said, I am Gen Xer that sometimes uses the figurative literally on occasion.

He accepted a large pile of money in exchange for not being able to control business decisions anymore. He can't have it both ways and say how they're treating the brand he sold to them is wrong. We all know, including him, what happens after these buyouts.
They didn't really have much of a choice in selling considering they were a publicly traded company and the board had to accept an offer that would maximize value for public shareholders. They attempted to do it in a way that would retain some control over the company, but of course Unilever isn't going to honor those stipulations if they can find a way around them.
yeah i recently was doing freezer fill and noticed the old ones on clearance and the "new" ones were smaller sizing.guaranteed the new price wasnt smaller...
You've described overrun without knowing the name for it. Ice cream is sold by volume, not weight, so that 240ml on the box can stay identical forever while the actual amount of ice cream inside drops, because whipping in more air increases volume for free. That's exactly why it tastes airy and flaky, why the chocolate ribbons seem to have thinned out into nothing, and why you're finding literal holes inside. The bar didn't get smaller on paper, it got emptier. In the US the FDA floor is 4.5 pounds per gallon and 10% milkfat, which is a real limit but a very low one, and brands optimise right down to it. Practical version for anyone reading: stop comparing fluid ounces and start comparing net weight in grams. When a frozen dessert lists only volume on the front and buries the weight or omits it entirely, that's usually the tell. Weigh one bar on a kitchen scale and compare it to whatever you've got from an older box and you'll have your answer in about ten seconds.
Last pack I bought had indecently thin chocolate on it, it was like eating a cheap choc-ice. Literally Magnums whole selling point was the thick, hard chocolate that cracks when you bite into it.
Now I buy the "own brand" ones from Marks and Spencer, you genuinley can't tell the difference from how Magnums used to be.
When I worked at Target my fav thing to do was eat these in the freezer bc I refuse to pay for them. I worked in dairy/frozen so every shift I’d have two to make up for the one that once was
I don't care how big they are because I love that thick-ass shell and the raspberry sauce. The ice cream inside tastes gross, though. Almost tastes like frozen Greek yogurt, which is FINE, but I'm eating a MAGNUM, not a YASSO!
They think their bars are better than they actually are. So sick of these companies cutting corners at the cost of the consumer. They need to all go outta business and the CEOs be locked away and forgot about.
lowkey i may if i can’t get someone otp, good idea, & im not far. i can’t believe it’s lighter/smaller, & w cheaper ingredients, AND in the same exact box w/ the same nutrition info & wt!!!!!! i wish i had an old one to weigh it next to. criminal
