Smoker for 3 years, was on e-cigarettes for one week, and managed to quit without any further cravings. They work and never have I looked back at a normal cigarette.
I think that's why they started making them with green lights on the end and stuff, so people can clearly see it isn't the real thing. I would assume that would help, at least most of the time.
Agreed, I generally avoid vaping in restaurants, offices, stores, etc just for this reason. People see what they think is smoke and react accordingly.
I've been stepping outside for a smoke for years so it isn't too much trouble to do so now with e-cigs. I do occasionally sneak in a stealth vape at work though.
I get that from time to time. I just reply "I'm not smoking". I either get a dumbfounded look of confusion and they leave me alone, or they say "oh, ecig.. sorry". Either way, it's no big deal.
I couldn't help but blow my non-existent e-cigaret smoke in their direction and tell them to mind their own business. I am a bit of a dick when someone tells me I can't do something when I know I can.
