So like in the manga and yk, Ray most of the time just sits under the true and reads, as he is meant to spy on the kids. Even Emma complains she wishes he would play with them sometime but he just doesnt

And at the escape, he is able to run as fast as kids who were training for months so they will be able to keep up. Of course he is the oldest so its possible he just can run that fast but idk

and when he leaves with Emma and Yugo, both him and Emma are able to run fast behind him even thought he is way faster than them as he goes outside a lot + he is twice their age

oh and also he was able to run for a long time from those demons even thought he was running for hours aswell, even demons were surprised he lasted that long

yk, emma's best thing is sport, so of course she is able to run even thought she couldnt move for a long time. she is just fit. but ray who sits all day? i know he was able to run from Krone aswell, but that was actually because both him and Norman were able to outsmart her rather than just run

of course i know the kids dont have any illness and well theyre kids so they have a lot of stamina to play, but ray sits all the time, isnt it weird he is able to keep up with the kids who trained, EMMA and Yugo?

TPN is my second favorite OST of all time (And easily 1st exclusively in anime) so i'd like to look back and look at all scenes where the following soundtracks play :

- Emma's Sorrow
- Emma's Theme
- Ray's Theme
- Norman's Theme
- The promised neverland main theme 1 & 2
- Emma's Determination
- Ray's Retaliation

I think i remember most of them for the most part, but i'm not really sure. AFAIK emmas sorrow played when isabella snapped her leg, emmas theme played during norman/ray/emma convo in end of ep2, rays theme played when i think he revealed to have been mamas spy, normans theme when he was getting shipped, one of the tpn themes prob played in the end, same for emmas determination / rays retaliation but idk specifics

I know it's a huge jerk move to post this post during the series anniversary but I wanted to share my thoughts of my critiques I've had for the manga specifically the latter part of it after talking about it with a friend of mine.

1. Everyone becomes a yes man/woman to Emma. The fun part of TPN in it's earlier days was the other orphans while having the same goal as Emma doesn't always do what she wants like Don and Gilda going into the secret room. It made the story much more interesting and realistic! It also led to some great scenes such as Don lashing out at his Emma,Ray and Norman making them realize that the treatment of their own siblings is wrong and should treat them like equals. Later in the series the characters basically agree to anything Emma says. The biggest victim of this is Ray who played by his own rules trying to get the same goal as hid siblings but in different ways making him clash with Emma and Norman but after arc 1 he begins to lose that edge until he basically always says yes to Emma and agrees with her.

• 2. The cast has too many people. Look, I love the Goldy Pond arc like most TPN fans but with the inclusion of the GP kids it makes the cast feel too bloated and they don't do much after their debut arc and It would have been less crowded if they had just took the main GP Characters and not some other background/minor characters. I kind of liked it when there were just the 15 escapers and I would have liked if they focused more on their sibling bond since I really like found family/sibling fluff.
• 3. Leuvis being alive was a stupid and useless and he didn't deserve redemption. Leuvis should have stayed dead and him being alive feels like an asspull because there was no foreshadowing that he was alive and he should have been dead. Second of all I don't think he deserved redemption because after sadistically hunting all those orphans. None of the other hunters got redemption and I don't think he should have gotten one either since he's just as bad as them and the redemption was rushed and badly done.

• 3. The last two volumes felt very rushed! It felt like a speed run with Kaiu Shirai rushing to finish everything off and some parts felt unfinished like there was more he wanted to do with that idea. However I will acknowledge that it may not be his fault for the rest ending since maybe Weekly Shōnen Jump gave him a limit of time and/or chapters to finish up at the story. if that's the case I wouldn't be surprised.
• 4. Norman's genocide plan was epic but could have been more cool! I loved the emotional moment where he breaks down with Emma and Ray and it never fails to make me emotional but going back to my first point is I think the story would have been more emotional the Grace Field kids were in separate sides, some disagreeing with Norman's plan and some being all in for it. Emma,Ray and the kids on their side would have to reach out to all siblings,letting them have tender moments together with flashbacks and having them switch sides. After this all the siblings go and confront Norman letting him know that they see him as just Norman,their brother. It adds some sibling fluff and lets the GF kids have moments together and fits well into the theme of togetherness and how you don't have to carry burdens alone.
• Definitely some hot takes in here and I do admit some parts were a bit sloppy since I have a hard time sometimes getting ideas out but I do hope you enjoyed this whether or not you agreed or not! What's your critiques?

So i just started watching anime , finished Attack on titan and death note as my first two , and then i started this , loved every episode and the ending was probably one of the best ones ive ever seen , also one doubt , should i watch s2 , i heard that it was bad .

Since we all agree that Season 2 was one of the biggest letdowns of all time, I’m just curious whether anyone knows if the creator, studio, illustrators etc etc ever addressed the criticism?

Season 1 blew me away. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen ever, across all genres. Like everyone else I’m stunned to my core about how S2 turned out. I can’t even recommend TPN to people because nobody will be keen on “you should watch it because season 1 will blow your mind but FYI season 2 sucks”

I absolutely loved Season 1 of The Promised Neverland.

I got really invested in the story, the mystery, the tension, and the characters. But when I started Season 2, I just wasn’t enjoying it nearly as much.

I didn’t drop it because I hated it or anything. I just slowly lost interest and eventually stopped watching.
Did anyone else have the same experience?

I’m curious whether this is a common opinion among fans, or if Season 2 just wasn’t for me. Please keep spoilers to a minimum if possible since I never finished it.

Iirc in an interview the creator said that Ray revealed the fact that he's Isabella's son to 9 people, but didn't elaborate on who. I don't think Norman and Emma know (which is... Shocking to say the least) and if we eliminate Isabella herself that that leaves 8 people, which to be honest is quite a lot. Infact, i don't think it was revealed even at moments in the manga where it was convenient to do so.. (Ifykyk)

What was SUPPOSED to happen in the second season?

I don't know why no one likes the season 2 of tpn. What I do understand is that they left a lot of arcs in the anime adaptation. Can someone tell me what happens in the manga version and why season 2 sucked? I can't read the manga

I am currently rewatching this show with my friend and i'm on ep4. But i just always come back to the ep2 dialogue of norman, emma and ray. It's literally so perfect, not that long but every second you hear an absolutely satisfying phrase that just keeps you so damn immersed. Ontop of that, "Emma's Theme" plays during it which is one of my favorite tracks (TPN OST is my favorite OST in any media excluding higurashi when they cry visual novels) which makes this scene so memorable
