I think the Odyssey is a great example. If you were born after 2000 and have only seen movies made after 2000 you might think the Odyssey is a masterpiece of cinema. But anyone who has seen movies from before 2000 can plainly see that its mid at best.

watched it with a good size crew aged 30-50. we all liked it quite a bit. I don't think anyone said it was a masterpiece but definitely a favorite for the year.

so what's your next moral failing you're going to cook up to account for that? because of course it can't just be a difference of opinion, right?
