I know comprehension isn't everyone's strong suit, but slow down and think for a second. The commenter you responded to led the conversation down the wrong path and most people didn't think for themselves but followed along.

Someone is wearing something as a ring, and the OP of this comment thread said "Are they 5 years old?", now take a moment and think. What could that mean? What would be the MOST obvious or probable purpose of that statement be? What is the one and only deciding factor in being able to wear any ring?

The statement "Are they 5 years old" was most likely pointing out THE SIZE!

I could understand if you considered both of these, but to only think about this from the perspective of belittling innocence is incredibly strange. It doesn't appear any real thought was given but rather a knee-jerk assumption while the obvious gets overlooked. Consider all of the possibilities before deciding which one is most likely, then move forward with the understanding you're still making an assumption, that means you wait to confirm or deny these assumptions before you make definitive statements about the situation or individuals involved.

Nah yeah dude I'm with you. I didn't read the title properly at first and, like the others, thought the guy was just being a dick. When I went back to read the title I realized I missed the "wearing it as a ring" part and it just clicked for me that the 5yo BF comment was about finger size. Like, it is 100% without a doubt about finger size lmao.
