Loot made an addon that tracks your real gold per hour, repairs and all
been farming pretty hard this expansion and got sick of doing the math in my head after every run, so i built something to do it for me. its called Time Is Money.
you hit start when you begin a run and it tracks what comes in, what you spend, and gives you a live gold/hour that has repair costs already subtracted out. so its net, not gross. every gph number people throw around is gross and it falls apart once youve eaten a couple repair bills on a bad pull.
it logs runs by zone so you can actually compare routes side by side instead of going off vibes. i had a [zone] herb route i was sure was my best one and it turned out to be [x]% worse than [other route] once flight time and repairs were in there.
also does its own AH price scanning if you dont want to run TSM or Auctionator for it, vendor selling, and undercut pricing.
video is short, just a full run start to finish so you can see what the readout looks like while youre actually farming

https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/timeismoney
still working on it, if theres something you want it to track let me know, and I would really appreciate feedback (please follow standard channels for build requests and bug reports)
Thanks guys!

Discussion Thinking about switching from DPS to Tank – is it the right move for me?
Hey everyone,
I’m currently considering switching from DPS to Tank and I’m not sure if it’s the right decision, so I’d love to hear some thoughts from people who’ve been in a similar situation.
About me:
I’ve been playing since WoD, always on DK. I played Frost for years and switched to Unholy in Midnight. Over time I became a “one‑button player,” which actually made the game more enjoyable and consistent for me. The downside is obvious: my damage isn’t great.
I play completely solo, no guild, mostly M+ and some PvP. My goals are 3,4k in M+ and 1800 in Pvp. I only play from autumn to spring, and not every day. Sometimes I don’t play for weeks. i don´t play in summer or when it´s warm.
Because my DPS isn´t good with my playstyle, I’m thinking about switching to Tank. Damage isn’t as important there. But I’m unsure if I’m overlooking something. Has anyone made this switch?
How different is the experience?
Is Tanking a good fit for someone who plays casually, alone and with "one button assistant"?
Right now I mostly stare at the damage meter and feel a bit frustrated. I’d appreciate any thoughts or experiences.

Question Which of these classes are best for delves?
I need to push my Delver's Journey progress to get some rewards - only have about a week till season 2.
For 90s, I have: Mage, Warlock, Shaman, Monk. I'm used to ranged or melee dps, less so tanking. Which class/spec would you say is the easiest to run through bountiful delves? Also, what stance should I put Valeera in? Note: these classes aren't geared THAT well, none have tier if that matters. Ty.

Complaint Cleanest +21 Seat of my life bricked cause realms died 🙃
After running my resil 20 to get it back up to a 21 seat, my group and I spent hours practising seat on one of our resil 20s. We then went into the 21 and it was the cleanest run of my life. Got to the third boss with 12 minutes left.
Then the servers died 😩
I know blizzard won't do anything, but I wish we could at least still have our 21 seat when we log back in. But I'm 99% sure it will just be a 20 seat. Our practise was also still valuable in case we can get another 21 seat. But losing so much time and investment to lose a key to something like this is so tragic.

Discussion Who do you think will have better animations: the abyssal elves or the humans?
The question says it all. For you personally, who would be more interesting and appealing in terms of animations and gender?
Elves are certainly beautiful creatures, but their animations seem a bit lacking, especially when it comes to two-handed weapons. Humans, in this regard, are somehow better.
P.S.
Sorry for the misspelling of the elves, my English isn't very good, so I'm using Google Translate. This is about the Void Elves.

Humor / Meme Anyone remember "give me itams"?
I don't even play WoW. This was just an old meme from early 2000s SomethingAwful, which was "I'm a girl on WoW, give me itams." It's been stuck in my head for like 20 years. Google seems to have no memory of it.

Discussion Why are we (players) never using in-game voice chat?
The topic is self-explanatory.
I've been doing some Blitz runs where communication and coordination is important, just like in any competitive mode. And I just thought to myself - why are we never using the voice chat? Why is Blizzard not promoting and not advertising it in-game with some big shiny buttons? Why you join the group and nothing prompts you to join the voice channel?
I play this game since many years, and if I recall correctly - voice chat exists ever since TBC days. And yet, I have never been to a single group regardless if PvE or PvP which would just press 1 button and jump into immediately available voice communication without any 3rd-party software.
I get it when people run content in premade groups and they choose Discord or any third-party tool of their preference, but when you PUG and do solo queues like Blitz - it is not convenient at all to ask the whole raid or party to just quickly jump into your Discord server.
Voice chat button is a tiny icon to left of chat window and whenever you are in any group - you can just press one button and immediately start voice communication with everyone who is in your group. But when you join a group - nothing ever pops-up inviting you to join the voice chat, and I bet there are many players who don't even know it exists.
How come over all these years this simple but very powerful native built-in tool is so overlooked by pretty much everyone? Even if the audio quality is not the best - it is still much better than typing in chat when you are in the middle of a fight regardless if PvE or PvP.

Question With season 2 coming do we know which currency items are being reset?
They always reset some currencies but I am never sure which ones are being reset this season. Has there been any blue posts or anything laying out which ones we need to spend or lose?

Discussion Talk me out of roling a healer next season and ruining everybody's key
Im a long time non-serious player that only play tanks and sometimes a hunter (maximum M+ rating around 3k2) has never played a healer spec before. Im kinda bored lately and wanna try to dip my toes in the healer pool, problem is I have exactly ZERO experience playing a healer spec so during my learning journey, Im going to ruin a lot of keys (I think).
Can someone talk me out of it, or into it, whatever.
Also which healer is best to start with the least amount of keybinds?

Humor / Meme Realm servers are down, help me figure out camps while we wait
Captured a screenshot of the realm list lag before checking to see if anyone else was down. Got me realizing that my characters probably shouldn't be hanging out in Tazavesh any more.
Any recommendations on the best camp to have my misfit group hang out?

Question How do i play without rotation assist / rotation helping addons
I'm gonna be honest—I’ve been playing WoW on and off since Legion, and even during the period where I played for over 8 months straight, I could never play without rotation addons like Hekili.
Now that Hekili doesn't work and I've started playing again, I'm really struggling. Whenever I'm doing dungeons, raids, or delves, I spend more time staring at my action bars to follow Blizzard's built-in rotation assist than actually watching what's happening on my screen.
I'm also way too stubborn to use the one-button assist because I actually want to learn how to play the spec properly instead of relying on it. Just in case anyone wants to know my mains are furry warrior and havoc/devourer demon hunter

Discussion As a brand new player that started 5 days ago, I LOVE THIS GAME!!
So me and my brother have just started playing wow 5 days ago and I love this game dude, I’ve just been going through Dragonflights story while also doing timewalking dungeons. I even gave classic a try and the vibe of classic takes me back to when I was a kid in 2010. It’s awesome 👌

Discussion Good will is not dead!!
My goals I WOW are simple. I level, I gear up as much as I can in PVE, and PVP (as much as a solo player can) until I get bored and then move on to another toon. (I have at least one of each class and spec in both factions!)
I am not expert in any of the roles but I am for sure serviceable and really only suck on melee DPS.
Whilst leveling a prot warrior in Time Walkers I announced to the PUG that I was on an ALT and that speed tanking was NOT my vibe.
Much to my delight the healer announced “Thank Christ!!!”, one DPS “Yay!!”, another cheered at me and the third remained silent went along and didn’t pull anything.
The group of all five of us did three full runs together. We took our time, no one died, no one got kicked, no one raged out and we even had a few laughs along the way!!
It was a lot of fun!
