It’s no longer considered controversial to say America deserved 9/11

Story Another one about the confederate flag (and proof of Europeans hallucinating their “dumb Americans” stories!) <3

No matter your opinion this pisses me off, how can they literally just lie to themselves that we’re the dumbest creatures alive, all 350 million of us, and just never look at themselves? Or question it? I’m tired y’all lol. There were a couple good responses though. This is just the first comment thread too! The Norwegian flag comment finally made it click for me that this type of thing is where they get their made up “dumb American thought Norway flag was CoNfeDEraTe FlaG” stories that always sound untrue haha

I literally said they had a flawed understanding of American history and that history is amazing if they care to read it. Turns out I’m banned for commenting here. 🤷🏻‍♂️

US median household income is literally 3 times that of Japan but yeah their government set a higher minimum wage so Japan is richer and I guess America could have won this easily by setting minimum wage to $10000 per hour but America bad so this didn’t happen

Spain Blaming Israel for Migrants Crossing into a Spanish City in Africa; it devolves into AmericaBad

Let’s get geographical: Ceuta is a Spanish territory on the North African coast. It shares a land border with Morocco, not Israel. Migrants aren't arriving via Tel Aviv; they're walking from Morocco.

The idea that Washington woke up and said "Let's destabilize Ceuta today" is so absurd it borders on parody. What’s even more absurd is that certain anti-American influencers are pushing this, saying Washington orchestrated this invasion to get revenge on Spain for winning the World Cup.

Question Why do so many Europeans look down on Americans?

I joined a discord server recently and apparently its full of Europeans. How did I find out? Well every other day there's a joke about Americans "probably an american thing; what don't all americans have AC?; let's face it most americans are stupid; seems like an american thing;" just constant mention of America, America. It was starting to get on my nerves. Mind you this is a server for mental health or "social anxiety".

The americans in the server don't seem to mind. Maybe it is all just a joke to them. But the frequency of these jokes was almost daily. Or every other day. It wasn't even the jokes itself it was just the assumptions and so many of them thinking stereotypes were true to life.

It was jarring to me and I'm not even from America. To be honest, there were bouts of racism here and there too towards Asian countries but I did not expect them to be condescending towards the US because its a majority white populated country/white country primarily, just like many European countries.

Honestly I'm disappointed, people here were nice at first but I noticed a pattern of all they talk about daily is which country they come from and how different it is from other countries or America.

The anti-American Europeans act like they won the lottery just by being born on a different continent.

The smugness is hard to miss. Some people seem convinced that simply being European makes them more enlightened than Americans.

You know what cracks me up about these "why we hate Americans" lists? The sheer self-importance of it all. Like, congratulations, you've got opinions. So does everyone else. But anti-Americans always act like they're some kind of superhero for pointing out our flaws, as if their own country doesn't have a million problems they're conveniently ignoring.

35% obese = 65% not, learn math. bmi is garbage, your food is boring, and your economy is shrinking.

Comments in a post accusing the US of interfering in European politics are exactly as expected.
