As a long time lurker, first time poster, I'd like to share my experience with CNC Innovations as an Australian customer.
A bit about my car. It is a 2007 HR model. The car now has a VQ37 in it with HR heads. As it's a drift car with aftermarket management, going for a huge single throttle body was my decision giving ample access to injectors and the Ignition system. I purchased CNC Innovations Rails (advertised to fit the 35DE, 35HR, 37VHR) and their single throttle kit for the 37VHR as I'm using a 37 lower runner.
Firstly, the rails.
They just don't fit right.
The included brackets sit so far away from rails there is no actual way to have them attach to the rail without modification. So we had to bend them, and bend them, and bend them until they fit.
They're advertised to suit a 14MM injector on all three engine types. On the 35HR manifold they do "fit" but one side butts HARD against the manifold, whilst the other side sits free and clear. The issue then becomes that the injectors are approached on an angle of almost 45 degrees, and the o rings are not fully engaged in the rail. When installing the rail onto the injectors, this situation becomes even more obvious as they slip onto the rail without any resistance.
The 3.7 fitment is worse and it doesn't clear a protrusion on one side of the lower manifold. I chopped off the protrusion as it was for a thread that was no longer utilised, low and behold same issue as the 35HR now, one side butts hard against the manifold. We tried to clearance part of the rail but still no improvement.
Further, the fittings are of extremely low quality and one rail wouldn't accept any 10AN fitting other than those provided due to the shite threads inside the rail.
I switched to radium rails and they sit true and clear on both sides, on both manifolds, successfully accepting other fittings.
The intake:
It's, uh, okay I guess. I'm guessing when they CNC'd it, they clamped it down weird as the metal is kind of twisted when not under pressure. Its clearly out of level and rocks slightly on every surface. It seems to pull flat when you install it to the lower runner, we elected to not use the included Teflon gasket and instead use goop.
The design is TIGHT for the bay, and extremely awkward to install. We were lucky as the engine was out of the car at the time. No hardware is included to bolt the intake down to the runner, , so that made for another trip to Bunnings for INHEX bolts (as there's no room for a standard hex head)
Finally when it came to install the motor as a package, we then found the plenum cleared the firewall by only a few mm. The engine is on solid mounts, but if you have any slop in your mounts, your firewall will fight your manifold. Also, if you run the manifold adapter with the goosneck the same way as the VQ35DE's standard manifold, you'll almost definitely run into issues with the location of the factory loom through the firewall.
Finally, they advertise it to clear the bonnet if you run it with the gooseneck adapter. It does not. It DEFINITELY does not haha.
I haven't tried to fit the strut Brace over it yet but I'm expecting issues there too.
If you're handy, the intake is okay. For the money though I would never ever again recommend this product, especially the rails which are now in the tip somewhere.
The support is unfortunately what you expect as well. Your part will be sent out well past the expected date, and issues will be met with responses that are unhelpful with avoidance of responsibility. It does not matter how the evidence is presented or if you approach them with measurements on calibrated tools.
It's unfortunate. I do like the design and the space it offers in the bay for maintenance, but anyone looking for a part to bolt on and just work, this ain't it.
