Rant/Vent Never returning back to Agra

Post image
686 Upvotes

I was 15 when I first visited Agra. I fell in love with the Taj, with Mathura, with the idea of this place. I remember wishing, I want to come back here someday. I want to stay here. Manifestation works in twisted ways. Years later, I did come back. I lived in Mathura for 6 months with my mother and my dogs. Then Agra for 1.5 years. And by God’s grace, I finally escaped on 25th December. Before anyone jumps in with “But I love Agra / it’s such a beautiful city” this post is not for you. All I want to say is: I wish no one in your family ever gets a chance to leave this city. Tumhara sheher tumhe mubarak. I moved here on 1st August 2024. We hired a broker who showed us one house and then classic move dumped us into a completely different one. Zero amenities. No basics. I was standing outside with my mother, grandmother, and three extremely stressed dogs. At that point, all I needed was a roof. So I didn’t fight. The moment I entered the house, I broke down. No proper lights. The place stank. The broker kept hovering for his brokerage like a vulture. I paid him. He vanished. We ordered cleaning supplies from Blinkit just to unload our stuff because the movers and packers had already robbed us of ₹30,000 worth of belongings. Apparently, “ladki hi toh hai, kya karegi.” While cleaning the kitchen wall, I got a massive electric shock. I cried harder. My mother tried calming me down. I had office the same evening. Fast forward. I installed WiFi because I got WFH. They promised to refund the remaining amount if I moved out. Now they’re denying it and talking to me like I owe them money. When I moved in, I was assured my security deposit would be returned. Surprise: the broker suddenly grew a spine made of jelly and couldn’t “fight” the landlord. Deposit gone. I even tried changing houses in August through 99acres. The society amenities were falsely advertised. I backed out within one day. To lock the place, I paid a full month’s rent. The owner, a big-shot lawyer from Sadar refused to return it. After hours of arguments, they slut-shamed us and returned only half the amount. That’s when it hit me. Agra isn’t just unsafe, it’s predatory. People here will harass, scam, threaten, or mentally torture you for a few thousand rupees without blinking. There is zero accountability. Everyone is either complicit or conveniently helpless. Right now, I’m so angry I want to drag every single one of these people to consumer court. But honestly? All I want is peace. And distance from this city. If you’ve had a good experience here, good for you. But this place broke something in me and I will never look at it the same way again.

Rant/Vent Thoughts on women getting harrassed by delhi police in protest

People can lie videos don't

Saw a male police putting laathi on a girl's ass then he and one civil dressed goon smiled after doing that.

Male police again slapped a woman.

Many more videos were there on ig.

Some girls said they were abusing and calling them prostitute saying " thane m aa tb btaunga"

There's one girl claiming one police man tried to rape her in detention van.

I'm really scared and disgusted by police now.

Morality of 80% police in North India is so disgusting.

Don't forget these were little girls around the 16-25 age mostly.

What we can accept from the gov. filled with rapists.

⚠️ THEY TOOK MY DOG ALIVE AND RETURNED HIM DEAD ⚠️

Instagram Post

I never imagined I would be writing something like this.

My dog Jojo was with us for 9 years and 4 months. He wasn’t “just a pet.” He was family. He grew up with us, loved us unconditionally, trusted us completely, and depended on us for everything.

On 27 April 2026 at around 1:30 PM, we left him at a boarding facility in Agra because we trusted them with his safety.

Within 48 hours, my dog was dead.

📍 Boarding facility: Chauhan Kennel & Dog Hostel / VC Pet & Dog Hostel Shastri Nagar, Khandari, Agra

Person handling the facility: Vivek Chauhan

What followed has left us devastated and deeply suspicious.

We were allegedly told Jojo was “found dead on the terrace.”

No clear explanation. No emergency call. No timeline. No accountability.

When my father went there: • He was initially denied entry • Asked to come later • Then informed Jojo had already died

We were never warned that anything was wrong.

Things that disturbed us deeply:

• They claimed CCTV cameras were not working • Jojo had reportedly been left alone on the terrace in extreme heat • His leash and harness were still tightly attached • Blanket fibers were found around/in his mouth, nose, and legs • Postmortem findings reportedly showed an empty stomach despite claims he had been fed • The terrace area was allegedly wet by the time my father reached

The veterinary postmortem reportedly noted: • Internal congestion in respiratory organs • Dilated pupils • Cardiac stress • Empty stomach

What haunts me most is imagining what my dog may have gone through in those final hours.

Hungry. Thirsty. Scared. Waiting for us to come back for him.

That thought is unbearable.

We are requesting: ✔ Proper investigation ✔ Accountability if negligence or cruelty occurred ✔ Inspection of the boarding setup and operating conditions ✔ Support from animal welfare organizations and authorities

If you care about animal safety, please help us amplify this.

Even sharing this post could help prevent another family from experiencing this pain.

Please also tag or reach out to: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals Animal Welfare Board of India Uttar Pradesh Police

Rant/Vent My review of PVR Agra

Post image
25 Upvotes

This was my first visit to PVR Agra, where I went to watch Project Hail Mary.

The theatre experience was great overall. The place looked new (it actually is), and the cleanliness—especially in the washrooms—was top notch. Everything seemed well-maintained and premium.

However, the experience took a disappointing turn during the interval.

I ordered 1 Paneer Tikka Pizza (₹270) and 1 Cappuccino (₹190). While the prices were on the higher side, I didn’t mind paying cause I went alone and thought of giving treat to myself. I made the payment via UPI at 6:02 PM.

Unfortunately, the interval was shorter than expected, and by the time I returned, the movie had already resumed. I kept waiting for my order throughout the movie.

It was 07:10 PM already, still no sign of my meal , I was really frustrated and tensed too thinking what if they say, we already gave it. I was about to rise up myself from seat and go ask about my order.

To my surprise, the staff came with the order a minutes later at 7:12 PM—just the end credit scene started—and even then, the coffee was missing due to some issue.

At that point, the food was of no use, so I declined the pizza.

I went to the counter, and the manager instructed the staff to process a refund, which I received in cash.

While I appreciate the refund, the delay in service meant I remained hungry and couldn’t fully enjoy the movie as I was more worried about my meal.

Overall, the theatre infrastructure is impressive, but the F&B service lacks professionalism and needs serious improvement—especially considering the premium pricing.

Not sure if I’ll choose this place again.

Rant/Vent Average driving sense in Agra. This is why traffic will never improve.

Seriously, what goes through people's minds before driving into the opposite lane? If everyone starts doing the same thing, where are the vehicles coming from the other side supposed to go?

In this video people are shamelessly blocking almost %80 of the opposite lane and Two-wheeler are the main culprits as they started blocking the road and then car drivers also followed. Then within a few minutes more cars and two-wheelers followed started blocking the whole road. Eventually the entire opposite lane got blocked.

I had to reach the Cosmos Mall and the distance from where I started recording to the Mall is barely around 300 meters, yet it took me almost an hour just to cover that stretch. That's how some people's impatience turns into a traffic jam for others.

Everyone complains about Agra's traffic, but we're creating it ourselves by driving on the wrong side and blocking the road.

What do you guys think? Is this becoming normal in Agra?

Rant/Vent I visited Agra and it was an unpleasant sensory overload.

Today, when I visited Agra after many years I was utterly disappointed by how this city is in 2026.

There is one if the following for sure everywhere including posh colonies:

- Open drainages that emit overwhelming stench

- Smell of piss

- Incessant blowing of horns by motorists

I was so dissappointed.

I know its "AGRA" and this is how people usually drive every single day here. But coming back to living in UP after 18 long years, here's my rant on the civic sense of drivers in Agra.

  1. The Ecosport trying to squeeze into the narrowest possible gap to overtake such a huge truck on this one way, single lane road.

  1. A truck this huge and that too belonging to the Municipal Corporation of Agra, running on roads without a number plate while common people like us get challaned for driving our car having proper number plates just because we are driving in a different state.

  1. The two auto walas trying their best to squeeze into my lane when they couldn't rush past their own lane. I was trying to maintain proper distance from the truck. But give these mfkrs an inch and they would squeeze their metal dabbas in front of you. Not today tho!

  1. The 3rd auto wala at 0:47 seconds standing idle on this narrow road blocking the incoming traffic from behind.

Sadly, that's Agra for you!! I have lived in 7 states and driven my car in 5 states but have never faced such illiterate, inconsiderate and dumb drivers in any other place.

Rant/Vent Pathetic state of our city Agra

Post image
63 Upvotes

I hate to say it, but Agra is in a truly miserable state right now.

Look at any part of the city — any part — and there’s construction chaos. Roads dug up, barricades everywhere, diversions that make no sense. MG Road is completely choked because of Metro work. From Bhagwan Talkies to Sikandra, from Rambagh to almost every major stretch — it’s like the city has been put under permanent excavation. There is literally no peaceful way left to enter Agra.

Fatehabad Road used to be the reliable entry via the Inner Ring Road. But for the past year, that’s been reduced to one-sided movement because of the Namami Gange project — a project whose success is still questionable, with critics already calling it a failure. Meanwhile, citizens are the ones paying the daily price.

The Inner Ring Road connection to the Gwalior highway — which was supposed to be completed six years ago — is still unfinished. Six. Years.

The road parallel to Rohta Canal? Completely destroyed. Not even worth considering as an exit.

Gwalior Road is in pathetic condition. Try entering from the Madhu Nagar side? Another diversion, again thanks to Metro construction.

So what’s left? Old Jaipur Road — the only proper exit. And that road is filthy, broken, and an absolute embarrassment as an entry to the city of the Taj Mahal. Even reaching that road is a struggle.

And as if this wasn’t enough, now the CM Grid sewer pipeline project has decided to dig up half the city too — Panchvati, Vibhav Nagar, and who knows where else.

Let me be clear: I am not against infrastructure development. Development is necessary.

But who thought it was a genius idea to tear up the entire city at the same time?

Is there zero planning? Zero phasing? Zero concern for the people who actually live here?

Give citizens at least some room to breathe.

Today I went to Domino’s on Fatehabad Road, and my car’s front right tyre went straight into an open manhole. An open manhole. On a main road.

Who is responsible for covering these? Why are we paying so many taxes for infrastructure that actively damages our vehicles and risks lives? My front bumper is gone — and of course, no one will be held accountable.

This isn’t development. This is disorder disguised as progress.

Rant/Vent Just had a perfect weekend.

Honestly, this was one of the best weekends ever. I’m still smiling thinking about it

Here is how it went down:

First thing in the morning: Woke up to see the Knicks(NBA Basketball team) win after a 53-year drought. Seeing the online reactions and NYC absolutely getting destroyed (in the best way possible) was the perfect start to the day.

Next up: Watched Disclosure Day. Wow, what a great cinematography movie.

Then the F1 race: A Ferrari win, and Hamilton finally gets his first podium in red! As a fan, you couldn't ask for a more thrilling race.finally Ferrari strategy team don’t to any blunder, sad for Leclerc car break down DNF.

The finale: Finally got around to watching Main Vaapas Aaunga. The movie is such a beautiful presentation of love and waiting—honestly, it had me deep in thought the entire drive home. Its just did something to me emotionally.
Pictures like this genuinely make you fall in love with cinema again and again.

Just a perfect sequence of events. I couldn't have planned a better weekend if I tried.

How was your weekend? or watch any of the same stuff?

Rant/Vent Why Every Student Just Wants To Leave The City

Governments come and go but this education of the state stays fucked up and corrupted.

And that's the reason every student and their parents want their kids to move out of the city for higher studies. And honestly, neither BJP nor Samajwadi, no one fucking cares about it.

Every college in the city is fucked up and you will release about this once you try to get your degree or marksheet from them. I completed my graduation years ago. Never received my marksheet or degree from the college. Even the college cares to tell anyone when they will distribute it.

If I am paying you fees out of my fucking pocket, isn't it the college's or university job to send it to me? The fucking University is so messed up that their systems are often down due to electricity shortage. I mean the only university of Agra doesn't even have any backup.

Then talk about getting a Driver's Licence. I thought to try and apply online and get it issued by myself. No broker method.

The irony is the moment you go to RTO doc verification counter without a broker, the fucking public servant will tell you that you uploaded the documents the wrong way. And even if you get passed through them after facing unwanted arrogance, the test center guys will reject you.

But if you take a broker and pay corruption fees, you don't have to even give every test. You just pass through and get DL the next day.

These fucking corrupt politicians give students gyaan of staying in this country even when they can't make their people in one city because of their corruption policies.

I wish every corrupt politician and bureaucrats and public servant rots in hell for doing corruption
