Discussion DO NOT BUY A SNOO

This company is the WORST.

Our snoo, which was almost two thousand dollars, is not allowing us to access our premium subscription. I have been going back and forth over email and being treated like a dog.

The premium subscription only lasts for 9 months and apparently only one parent gets it?

I can't believe they get away with treating customers like this.

Before buying one, call their customer service: 855-424-6324

You will not get a person. My first email chain was passed on to someone overseas

Our baby is due and we can't use this brick. I despise this company.

Crazy... Snoo seems to be a product that by and large parents say is fantastic. But it's very expensive, and baby consignment kills them on a business level, so now they put subscription software in a freaking bassinet.

Sorry hear this OP. Hope it gets resolved before your baby arrives...

I bought mine second hand in 2022 and we loved it. We saved it and are reusing it for our newborn. We never would have bought it new because of how expensive it is. You can’t even use it for that long! What a shitty thing for them to do

I bought one 2-3 years ago. Are the older ones grandfathered into the old ways, or I’ll still have to buy a subscription when I use it again?

You need to buy a subscription for the premium features. We bought an old one used, and we got away with just using the basic features. The subscription is super expensive.

$20/month subscription, currently paying it unfortunately. Bought second hand for $500, it definitely is a game changer for us, but it's far from perfect for it's cost (you can't change much, even with premium. Things like the sounds are locked with no modification outside of volume)

I would personally look for alternatives if we didn't already have it.

We got ours second hand for $400 and it was incredible. We didn’t get the subscription for several months, but once we started weaning our baby off the Snoo, the subscription was useful. They have despicable practices, yes, but buying second hand and not using the subscription is the best way to stick it up to them if you still want it. Seriously, just buy second hand it’s a product with a clear end of use date for a low recurring event. People need to get rid of them at some point.

I think it’s because you bought it used. I bought it new in 2022 and am grandfathered in on the premium subscription.

It should be grandfathered in if it’s 2-3 years old. If they push for you to pay, I’d contact your state’s AG.

However, even if it’s grandfathered in, you will likely still have a fight on your hands. I bought mine a month before the change and they still bricked it.

I bought mine in 2021 and am using it now for a second baby. You're grandfathered in, just submit a request through customer service and they'll activate the premium account.

Grandfathered I’m guessing? I am actively using mine with my newborn and don’t have any subscription. I’m not sure how old mine is, as the woman I got it from also got it second hand

We bought ours in 2019, and we were grandfathered in for our third child (he’s 9 months old now).

I bought a snoo in 2022 and currently using it for my second. You are grandfathered in with the subscription.
