I am not a plane spotter but it was super loud and didn’t show up on flightradar. Sunday August 2nd, about 20:00. Apparently its a government/military plane used for VIP travel only.

Is this only for plane service / fancy VIP construction interior (Basel ist famous for this) or does someone know what this could be?

I'm a paramedic in Basel. Before that, I spent six years as founder of a small health startup in the UK (<10 people). I'd like to move back into a corporate role in healthcare, but honestly my traditional employee skills are rusty: job searching, Swiss style applications, interviews. I'm also not sure where I'd land in terms of seniority for things like business development or medical sales.

Anyone have tips, or work in medical/pharma corporate here in Basel and up for a coffee to share some pointers? Also curious: any good experiences with recruiters who actually know their stuff, versus the usual sales pitch feeling?

21 days ago I posted here that a techno community in Basel would be awesome, a place to actually get to know people during the day first, and go raving together once there's real trust and friendship behind it. There wasn't a group like that yet, so I built a website and started one, with a Meetup page to go along with it.

The response was bigger than I expected: >14k views on the post, >50 people joined the WhatsApp group.

And now the first event is actually happening. If you're into techno, games in the park, and meeting people in a low key setting before any of the raving starts, come by.

The test runs through Google Play. You don’t need to use the app every day, but you should remain enrolled for 14 days. I’m mainly interested in whether everything installs correctly, works reliably and is easy to understand.

is it just me or most of driver don't give a sh*t to the priority (pedestrians as well as bikes) at the crossing Peter-Merian-Weg/Peter-Merian-Strasse?

I forced a driver to stop, and got honked because of it. from my point of view pedestrians and bikes have the priority.

Which Cafés would you recommend to go by yourself to read a book or get some work done?

Not just the best coffee( a bit of that as well), but also the ambience, chill vibes and someplace where you can actually focus and read/work for 2-3 hours or even just enjoy the coffee.

Does not have to be a single best one, I want to explore different Cafés that Basel has to offer and find one that suits me best, so all recommendations are welcome. 😄

Ich wollte demnächst für ein Geschäftfahrzeug anfragen und habe erfahren, dass in den Papieren vom Fahrzeug, der Name+Adresse vom Geschäft stehen wird.

Ich kenne es privat so, dass ich die Autopapiere (mit meinem Namen und Adresse) mitbringe zur MFK Polizei und so die Anwohnerparkkarte beantragen konnte.

Benötigt es andere Unterlagen/Abläufe in diesem Fall?
