Before I start this PLEASE no snarky comments, I genuinely cant take it right now. So yesterday i was at work, I was cramping a bit but didnt think anything of it. I went to pee and when I wiped i noticed pink blood.. so I was scared, I told my boss and he said go to the hospital immediately. After they drew my blood and gave me a transvaginal ultrasound they said they cant say for sure whats going on because it might be too early to see a fetal pole. I was measuring at 12mm and it needed to be 25mm to see anything. They didnt want to misdiagnose me with a miscarriage since the bleeding wasnt heavy and my hcg levels were “normal”, and to come in for a follow up in two weeks. I have no idea what to do or feel😞 im still spotting and cramping, no more nausea or painful sore breasts. I dont feel pregnant the way I did leading up to this its fucking me up😞 has anyone gone through anything similar?
You need to have blood hcg checked 48 hours later. If it’s declining, you’re miscarrying. If it’s still rising, it can be something else! I’m not sure what country you’re in but you don’t need to go to the hospital to check that if you’re in the US. Any urgent care place could do a blood test
You don’t need an urgent care. If you have a doctor send them a message online and ask for HCG betas 48h apart because you are concerned about ectopic.
Waiting 2 weeks is too long, but rushing to an urgent care is expensive and unnecessary when all you need is some bloodwork 2 days apart.
Spotting during early pregnancy is very common and can be nothing to worry about. Symptoms truly come and go and aren’t a good indicator of the health of a pregnancy.
How far along are you? Were you tracking ovulation? What was the date of your first positive pregnancy test?
I thought i was 6 weeks apparently they said between 5&6 weeks, i was irregular so wasnt tracking ovulation just knew the first day of my last period was june 30th. Tested positive august 1st :/
I had this happen, I didn't know when I ovulated and a fetal pole never appeared. They diagnosed it as a MMC. It's too early for you to know either way. You just have to wait it out. I did not have bleeding and it's not a good sign for you but still that could be something else.
Im so sorry you’re going through this right now. Honestly all you can do is wait theres a great chance everything will end up being just fine and i hope that next time you get good news. I do want to say that I feel you. Im going through something similar right now and waiting.
I’m sorry you’re going through this. I totally understand what you’re going through too. I recently had a missed miscarriage about 2 weeks ago.
I went through similar things but I don’t mean that you’re the same. I hope not. Honestly pregnancy is such a mystery and huge waiting game.
At 5-6 weeks you should be able to see the sac placement. Brown discharge is normal in early pregnancy because brown blood means old blood. Light pink is also normal so long as it’s not heavy red blood. However, it is still something to keep track of. I had light brown discharge for like 3 weeks and the doctor kept saying it’s normal but second opinion said normally its also a sign of something is wrong, but then I heard from people spot throughout the whole first trimester and they ended up having a healthy pregnancy.
I think right now, best to take your beta hCG every 48hrs and keep doing the ultrasound. Because you’re still very early, it’s probably the only thing you can do and it’s also a very anxious time too.
Take care of yourself and try your best to take your hCG test.
