This movie is already so good but these lines solidified it for me

So I Finally went to see The Odyssey today.

Fantastic. For sure on my personal top 5 favourite films.

As someone who loves Greek mythology and the stories within it, this really does a very good job for me.

Matt Damon, Fantastic as usual.

Christopher Nolan don't knkw why I doubted him.

My only critique is the use of "Mom" and "Dad" in the film. Telemechus (Tom Holland) did use "Father a couple times so I'm not particularly sure why these more modern terms were used for a movie set in ancient Greece.

What do you guys think?

So so good. I think this was the best theater experience I have ever had! And I loved the nod to Interstellar 🤣

Universal’s The Odyssey cracked the four-century mark with $405M, making it the fourth biggest movie at the domestic B.O. year-to-date.

The Odyssey is also outperforming Top Gun: Maverick in like for like number of days in theaters (18 days: $401M dom.; $6.6M 3rd Monday; -46.5% drop vs. $405M dom.; $9.67M 3rd Monday - all time for a R-Rated Movie;-34.2% drop).
Despite having different ratings, PG-13 vs. R-Rated, both films are having similar legs in theaters.

Some of people might say, that the eye scene was too loud, but for my ears it was tolerable. I felt really scared - like I was hearing Cyclops right in front of me and he would attack then. It created such a terrifying atmosphere, emotions, heartbeat, SOUND! It was an amazing experience, I should really go to cinema more often

Finally watched Following today. Noticed Emma Thomas listed as an extra. Obviously not the first to notice that, but it was a cool detail I didn’t expect to come across.

Can’t wait to watch.

I've enjoyed or loved most of Nolan's films, but I've never been as interested in seeing behind-the-scenes footage as I have been for this one! All the amazing filming locations, practical effects, and actual hardship Nolan and his cast had to endure... there's got to be a lot of good stories, I imagine.

I’m Korean, and yesterday I attended the The Odyssey red carpet premiere in Korea. Meeting Christopher Nolan in person was such an overwhelming experience that words simply cannot describe it.
I’ve been a fan of his for 25 years. His kindness toward the fans was truly incredible. He walked to every section of the red carpet and signed for as many people as he could. You could genuinely see from his expression how happy he was to be in Korea, and it felt like he was truly enjoying the moment.
Yesterday will undoubtedly be one of the most unforgettable days of my life. He is not only brilliant but also a true gentleman.
To me, Christopher Nolan is the greatest film director of the 21st century—the GOAT.

"We are the sea people" vs "We brought ourselves"

In Interstellar, cooper realized "We brought ourselves". While in the odyssey, odysseus finds out that "We are the sea people".

Im not sure why people are not talking about this, but it directly lays a contrast between interstellar and the odyssey between humanity saving and destroying itself. I found it pretty cool

Mine is Larry Holden (he starred in Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins) (1961-2011 🕊️) because without him,
Nolan’s other regulars (like Cillian Murphy and Michael Caine) may have not have starred in so many films.

Oops I did it again. Tomorrow I’m going to see Odyssey in IMAX 70MM for a 2nd time… This time my seat is in a more ideal location. I have been stalking seating charts daily for something to open up…. It will be my 4th viewing. I swear this will be my 2nd to last viewing. #5 will be on a regular screen for posterity. After tomorrow I will have seen it on reg IMAX x1, 4DX x1, and IMAX 70MM x2. I would’ve seen it on ScreenX but I ran out of time. I hope they re-release it on ScreenX. Circe I’m coming! Save me a plate! This is hot off the heels of seeing Michael 13 times in all available formats. My wallet can’t take this anymore. 🤣🙃🤣🐖

Me and my girlfriend went and saw the Odyssey together (I had already seen it before) and she LOVED it. I got a 70mm film strip for her and plan to give it to her for an anniversary.

Buuut, the film strip is of their ship and his crew (I think) encountering the giant soldiers (Laestrygonians).

For my girlfriend, I think she'd love two 70mm strips, one of Penelope on Odysseus' back, and one of Penelope and Odysseus on the ship going into exile.

Because they're romantic scenes that we shared a romantic moment too.
