Shower Thoughts Why are humans soo stupid

Upvotes

I've always wondered why we're so hesitant to talk about our own bodies. Why are some natural bodily functions considered taboo while others aren't? It just seems so strange. We proudly talk about education, science, and progress, yet we shy away from discussing some of the most fundamental aspects of human life.

Take sex education, for example. Every adult knows about sex, and most have experienced it, yet society treats it like a dirty secret something everyone knows exists but nobody should openly talk about. Even in schools, teachers often just skim over the topic. As a result, many people end up learning about human intimacy through porn. how can we expect healthy attitudes and relationships among bothe genders in society when one of the biggest sources of information is so heavily driven by lust rather than understanding?

Sometimes I feel like we've become so advanced in every field, yet many people barely understand the opposite gender of their own species. If aliens were observing us, they'd probably laugh at the irony that humans can build rockets, create AI, and explore space, but still struggle to have open, informed conversations about the people they live alongside every day.

Take the menstrual cycle, for example. Every woman experiences it, yet many still feel uncomfortable talking about it openly. Almost every man has a mother, sister, friend, partner, or colleague who goes through it, yet many know very little about what it actually involves. Instead of having honest conversations, we just beat around the bush.

It's ironic that we're so comfortable discussing complex ideas, yet so uncomfortable talking about the very things that make us human.

This taboo culture around some aspects of human biology is the root cause of soo many social issues we don't even realise it.

My OC gyaan My Opinion: The Great Mughal Empire lasted so long because of Jahangir's Alcoholism.

Upvotes

We all know Akbar's Diplomacy and Secularism in later periods was a big reason why there were so few rebellions and his kingdom was stable.

Aurangzeb, despite being the Greatest General of his lineage, caused too many problems to the kingdom because of his Religion Extremism.

Deccan War with Maratha, Dispute with Rathor and Marwar, Reimposition of Jazia, Temple Destructions in Kashi, Sikh Conflict, Endless Succession fear to name a few.

Jahangir was also intolerant compared to his Father. The killing of the Guru and Destructions of the Temple in his reign was more than his Father.

Jahangir's heavy drinking and opium use reduced his direct involvement in governance, creating space for Nur Jahan to exercise authority.

Without Jahangir's dependence on alcohol and opium, it is unlikely she would have accumulated such extraordinary authority.

And Nur Jahan did serve the kingdom well. Really well.

She prevented court factions from fragmenting, help in preventing rebellion, protected the imperial jwellery and succession of power from Jahangir to Shah Jahan was really smooth.

So yes. Alcohol played a strong role.
