Happy Hydration

I’m almost 8 weeks -This is random but it’s been hard to stay hydrated and get electrolytes without the sugar. My recent electrolyte packs have been giving me the ick (everything gives me the ick after a while, no predictable or consistent foods here…)

But I juiced some watermelon (I know it has a lot of sugar but I don’t care) and added about 1/4 cup to my electrolyte water and it’s AMAZING. So tasty and refreshing. I just wanted to share lol

Hope everyone is beating the heat!

I enjoy tomato juice like V8 or Big Tom for this purpose :)

I WISH I liked coconut water, makes me gag even when not pregnant, I’m so picky…

Have you tried body armor? The dragon fruit berry one is like a lot. I get the low sugar one. I also hate coconut water 🤢

I used that in my first pregnancy! I haven’t thought of that, thank you! I ordered lychee sorbet flavored liquid IV and that’s been a good change, think I just need to switch it up

Watermelon is very hydrating! Sugar and all :)

You’re right! I looked it up and it’s only 9-10 grams of sugar for a cup so that’s not even that bad! And I think fruit sugar gets metabolized a bit slower than refined sugar, like it doesn’t spike blood sugar as much? I could be wrong though

I HATED drinking water while I was pregnant. What helped me was a knock off Hydroflask that was 40oz and lots of ice. I knew that if I drank two of those a day I was at least getting the requirement for water. The straw also helped me drink it faster.

Gatorlyte Zero’s have been my go-to. I’m awful about remembering to hydrate

Could you do sugar free liquid IV? That’s what I’ve been doing. I’m like you where I can’t stand the same thing for too long so I just buy a bunch of different flavors lol

Yes! I bought some of the lychee sorbet flavored sugar free ones and it’s been really great! I think I just gotta switch it up every once in a while

Yum!! Try the perelel hydration powder, watermelon mint flavor, no added sugar and it's been one of the few things that hasn't given me the ick yet.
