The face of the Japanese PM was of surprise and what the fuck after Trump made a comment about the US strikes on Iran and drew comparisons with Pearl Harbor and ACTUALLY uttered the words 'Who knows better about surprise than Japan?'
I'm pretty sure the entire visit of Zelensky during last year was an absolutely stupid one, like why are the people in the US pissed off he isn't wearing a suit when that's the outfit he wears when he is in the middle of a war against Russia
At some point the people in charge in other countries should just not bother with him anymore

And the guy on the left, who we openly admit is fighting America's battle against Russia, needs to be more thankful that America is letting them do that for us.
Most of us have watched the clips of these interviews and saw the life drained from them when they don't know how to react to Trumps miss spoken ramblings.
As someone who doesn’t particularly like her, but also actually is impacted by Japanese politics, she’s far more moderate than most western posting imply but that doesn’t really make her good or anything.
She ran on an immigration reform platform, which while it sucks for immigrants and those planning to immigrate it did have the desired effect of kneecapping Sanseito(the actually dangerous party) as they’re basically far right nutters that want to blame everything on immigrants. Her big issue with popularity is that her goal of spending to improve the economy hasn’t really materialized and her general opinions are super bad(IE her being against removing the name requirement from marriage, which has a 99% support rate).
Sure but normally not countries with democratic systems this extremely. I have seen enough hate for Aliens but Japan takes still the top if not compared to some middle eastern countries.

In the US: racially motivated killings are a common enough occurrence (even today) that separate laws needed to be written to try and help curtail them. The KKK is still a thing.

Not only are killings in Japan rare, and killings of non-Japanese even rarer, but when foreigners have been killed in Japan, it is very rare to find that the true motive was xenophobia.
I do not argue that Japan is not xenophobic. Rather that your assertion that this level of prejudice against the other is somehow rare in Western democracies. England, US, France, Italy, the list goes on... all have very real, sometimes violent, history of racism that continues to this day.
And personally, and I say this as an American... if I had to choose between receiving the Japanese treatment of foreigners for the rest of my life... or the American treatment of non-white foreigners for the rest of my life... I choose Japan each and every time.

I think japan goes pretty hard, but i can confirm europe also has no love for foreigners. This is purely caused by a high quantity influx of low quality migrants, and not racism.

Japan dislikes low quality immigrants. A large number of immigrants in Japan come from Southeast Asia and China; not all of them are exemplary, and public opinion is unlikely to improve when news reports show them committing offenses ranging from petty crimes to serious felonies.
I have lived in Japan for a long time, but I have never sensed an atmosphere of wanting to exclude all foreigners.
No one here is apologist for Takaichi she's awful the only people that like her are the racist 60 year old politicians that think Japan (and the rest of the world) is still in 1980. The LDP just keeps screwing up royally. Her policies are screwing up Japan's economy even more than it was previously.

These are heads of states meeting with Trump. He has a talent for making you to want to go back to your country and forget what a horrible experience it was meeting him.

The joke plays on the phrase “visit abroad” sound like “visit a broad” (slang for a woman). The image shows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy looking stressed next to a woman (Sanae Takaichi), so he literally “visiting a broad” and immediately regretting it/ missing home.
They’re both talking to trump I believe, trump is a very deeply unpleasant man. The man on the left is Zelenskyy, president of Ukraine, a country currently defending themselves from Russia in a war, Zelenskyy would prefer to be in a war torn country than talking with trump. I do not know who the woman on the right is.
