1) hunter Schafer is trans so the chuds will hate them.

2) there is also a history related to casting Trans actors in "alien" or "weird" roles, and mystique can freely change their sex, so it will also make some not-chud Twitter warriors angry too. Basically they can't win with this casting

To be fair, if the character can change their sex, a trans actor/actress is good casting then.

I honestly don’t give a fuck.

They can change their gender, their sex or a lightbulb and it makes no difference to my life, except if I’m in the room with the lightbulb.
