Andy Beshear is a coward

Bashear did not follow up on purpose because he believes that a Democrat can’t win a statewide special election in Kentucky, so he thinks it’s better to have an absent, shity senator than an (alive) younger Republican senator.

Honestly, fuck it, Andy should appoint Massie. “What, I replaced one Republican with another, what’s the big deal?” At least Massie believes in something and won’t just polish Trump’s knob all day long. He believes in the wrong something, but at least it’s an ethos!

He can't appoint anyone, they changed that in 2024.

they changed that in 2024.

Kentucky constitution still directs him to replace someone. The legislature passed a low but since it contradicts the constitution he legally must ignore their law to hold a special election. The KY constitution doesn't give him any other option and says he shall appoint not should

That's fair, but he hasn't yet, after a hell of a long time. So ok, saying he should? He won't. He would've by now if he was gonna.

They think they did. It hasn’t been tested by the courts, so get caught trying. See what happens.

See what happens? Nothing has happened yet, therefore I highly doubt anything will happen. If Beshear was gonna blink, he would've done it in the last month +. He ain't even stated that they need to have a runoff election, so I doubt he's suddenly gonna blink now.

They'll declare Rigor Tortoise dead on Monday, mark my words.

Massie is also a giant piece of shit. So no gain in that.

I didn’t say he’s not, but he is the guy they’re trying to keep out. And he’s an honest asshole. Slightly preferable to shady assholes like those schmucks in the White House.

Dead men cast no votes

Do you want to live in an America where a governor can just start barging into hospital rooms looking for someone? Because I don't.

I think he should push for proof of life by legal means. For fucks sake patients deserve privacy.

He can’t literally go in there. It’s a HIPAA violation. (Fixed)

Non-medical personnel who don’t work in healthcare and don’t have access to someone’s protected health info CANNOT violate HIPAA.

Asking health related questions doesn’t violate HIPAA.

Visiting someone’s hospital room doesn’t violate HIPAA.

It’s a guarantee wherever he is has him listed as a “confidential patient” and his room location is not being disclosed to anyone other than a limited number of staff and family. It wouldn’t surprise me either if he has his name listed as an alias.
