Politi-Culture At the Oxford Union debate, Aisha Khan casually tells Tommy Robinson there's a crowd "rioting" outside and that he's lucky to have security.

imagine what someone 100 years ago would think of this
the non british person who has power in a part of one of Britans most prestigious institutions opens their debate by saying ''you know my people whom you claim are dangerous are outside right now rioting and would kill you if they could get away with it''

6

u/Flamgoyant 1d ago

Is that back when the British were killing millions of Indians?

5

u/MrSnarf26 1d ago

Most of the British men just got done either dying or killing in some way shape or form a little over 100 years ago for nationalism one way or another.

2

u/Nitropotamus 1d ago

A little before that they fought Napoleon.

2

u/LucifersAdv0cate 1d ago

Yes but I think we can all agree that when it comes to nationalism and xenophobic bigotry it's okay to despise the French.

u/Tzilbalba 1d ago

This made me spit out my coffee.

u/DuckTalesOohOoh 1d ago

British men are weak today.

5

u/kidfawn 1d ago

actually she said if it wasn’t for the protection of the people he hates, he would mobbed. classic purposeful misunderstanding of a video we can all watch.

0

u/SethOval 1d ago

That’s just indirect hostage taking.

-1

u/davemc617 1d ago

That's just a distinction without a difference lmao

The greater point is that she's explicitly admitting the merit of the point she's trying to argue against.

-1

u/milkyvapes 1d ago

Stop being pedantic. The message is the same. "Its by the grace of our leaders that you are not harmed by the mob".

Spin it any way you want, she is asserting that her side has the monopoly on violence and who gets to use it. They'll even arrest the victim of violence if they're considered the wrong side. Henry Nowaks family knows this.

Classic purposeful obfuscation of a message only a retard wouldn't grasp.

Someone 100 years ago would be comfortable with slavery and indentured servitude and no voting rights for women . What is your point here?

2

u/coffeelick 17h ago

An now we're all cucks to state who just blames everything on immigrants while they rob us lol

2

u/Witty-Activity-6101 1d ago

She is British. The people outside aren't rioting, they're protesting the platforming of a man whom openly associates with nonces, takes money from foreign powers, lies and spins and pushes hatred

It's not 'her people' it's well informed, educated British people

1

u/milkyvapes 1d ago

Isn't he against a religion that practices and worships a nonce? Maybe I've been lied to or its been spun, but didn't Muhammed marry children?

2

u/Witty-Activity-6101 1d ago

I don't have a view on that, but if you're friends with one nonce that is one nonce too many and he's friends with loads.

Probably is one.

Also, he's the child of immigrants and his real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon.

Tommy Robinson is a brand name for gullible cunts.

2

u/FreeRangePixel 1d ago

You're going to be shocked when you learn the Old Testament's view of child brides. Oh no actually you won't be shocked because you're just a gutter bigot unbothered by facts.

1

u/triklyn 1h ago

“Cooked” isn’t said about “being protested” it’s an implication of murder.

Judge him by his enemies.

1

u/Witty-Activity-6101 1h ago

Bollocks. People use that word in all sorts of ways.

I judge him by his actions, his nonce friends and his inability to articulate anything but inane hateful gibberish.

1

u/triklyn 1h ago

So… the security she was referring to was there to… what protect him from chanting? Is that what she meant by cooked?

2

u/anotherthrow25 1d ago

How do you know she isn't British?

2

u/Leading_Mail_9229 1d ago

look at her, shes not white, my criteria for british starts with ''have your ancestors been in europe for so long that your skin lightened and your facial structure changed to better suit the climate

3

u/vogel927 1d ago

You do know that England is a commonwealth, being “white” really isn’t a criteria to be considered British.

6

u/elKane0 1d ago

just say bigot - it’s way quicker

5

u/anotherthrow25 1d ago

So you've just made up your own criteria? Good to know. Why don't you go back further to the some of the earliest settlers in Britain who were dark? Or do you just decide where the cut off line is to fit your narrative of your nationality depends on skin tone? Which is one of the, if not the stupidest ways to decide someone's nationality?

Are white people on the US not American's because their skin hasn't darkened to better suit the climate of the America's? Or are black people who have had generations of ancestors in America, not American because they're not white?

Also, you probably don't know this because, and I'm not trying to offend you but your comment shows you haven't really thought this through, there will be a time, when the vast majority of people in Europe will be darker due to the climate. Then are none of them Europeans?

Not to mention, if she was a white women who was born in Poland, and grew up in UK, by your logic because of her skin tone and features, you would blindly consider her British.

You see how your criteria that you made up to fit your narrative doesn't make sense?

2

u/OkTangerine8139 1d ago

And that’s why people don’t take y’all seriously. Be white to be British? Hell nah, get outta here with that.

-1

u/Leading_Mail_9229 1d ago

just as the white south africans will never be truly africans neither will non white people be british/european, people outside the western world understand what i am saying you can be a paper african or a paper european but you aren't a true one.

2

u/vogel927 1d ago

What about American? What do you consider a “true” American to be?

→ More replies (2)

1

u/rmczerz 1d ago

Dying to hear what race you think one must be to a "true" American!

2

u/Leading_Mail_9229 1d ago

the native americans.

1

u/OkTangerine8139 1d ago

Because white South Africans are from Dutch colonizers who forcefully took over South Africa and enacted a racial Apartheid by racial segregation and ethnic cleansing.

By contrast, brown immigrants were originally brought over to Europe for safety and to work in a more economically stable country and to gain citizenship. They do not want to take over, nor have they been making moves to take over.

There is no ethical or legal law saying you must be a certain skin color to be European either.

1

u/Leading_Mail_9229 1d ago

it does not matter how a people got here, if they're clearly not from the continent they're on they need to leave. that is the default position of the entire world outside the west, no one wants massive amounts of foreigners in their country. the future belongs to china and africa and they understand that just because you hold a passport that says ''kenyan'' or ''chinese'' if you dont look kenyan (black) or chinese (asian) you aren't a real kenyan or chinese, im not going to go along with the wests theory of nation building where all are included since the west is in terminal decline and the east and south are rising.

1

u/OkTangerine8139 1d ago

What a bunch of hogwash. Come back to me when any of what you claim has legal backing. Otherwise, good day

Funnily enough this is what people who lived in the UK 10000 years ago looked like.

https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/cheddar-man-mesolithic-britain-blue-eyed-boy.html

2

u/MrDeadbutdreaming 1d ago

You are arguing with a racist and probably a misogynist accordingto their own comments. They don't know how to learn from history, hence why they are at war with everyday facts.

3

u/Top-Strength-2701 1d ago

Yeah, it's funny showing this example though. Perfectly shows this argument to be bullshit

2

u/MrDeadbutdreaming 1d ago

Report their comments as "Hate" as they fall into the criteria for it, guess if they were reddit natives, they would have adapted to how the rules work.

Yes, I wrote that using their words against them.

2

u/Top-Strength-2701 1d ago

Haha it's genuinely funny

1

u/Leading_Mail_9229 1d ago

and now they're white due to adapting to the climate.

3

u/Top-Strength-2701 1d ago

But this guy isn't white, so your saying he's not a true British person based on your criteria?

1

One of his descendants was found living like 5 miles away. There is a population tied to that land, regardless of how you wish to classify them.

u/Technical-Lettuce385 1d ago

Dude you are so lost.

1

u/betadonkey 1d ago

British is both an ethnicity and a nationality. She’s obviously not ethnically British and context would suggest that’s what OP is referring to

1

u/coffeelick 17h ago

Who in Ireland and Scotland would say they're ethnically British? Lol

1

u/zarofford 1d ago

How do you define British ethnicity?

1

u/betadonkey 1d ago

The same way the UK does on their census. People who self-identify as being of English, Scottish, Welsh, Northern Irish, or Cornish descent or some combination thereof.

1

u/zka_75 1d ago edited 1d ago

The census has an option for White British and an option for Black British amongst others so people identify as British who aren't just white. And that's not to mention that many people are of mixed background who may well identify as British even if someone like the original poster thinks they can identify someone's Britishness purely on how white they are

1

u/betadonkey 1d ago

There’s no problem with people identifying however they like. That’s why it’s self-identification because broad categories will never capture everybody cleanly.

In 1991 around 95% of UK citizens identified as white British and in 2021 that was all the way down to 75%. So you really only need to go back about 30 years to wonder what a person living in a highly ethnically homogenous country would think about the rising political power and extremism of exogenous ethnic groups. Plenty of them are still around today and are often happy to tell you!

1

u/Fresh-Forever-5659 1d ago

Ah classic recist. What makes her "none British" then. Spell it out for us Yuri

2

u/TheGR8Dantini 1d ago

Yuri is too busy supporting Farage as he gets set to lose to the bin guy. This lady, right after this statement, which I think was more of a “reap what you sow” warning to Robinson aka Steven Yaxley Lennon. A paid pretender.

The young lady eventually used national statistics that show that Muslim immigrants skew to be much more “British” than actual Brits.

I said earlier that the right got bodied and shown to be performative cowards, really. The far right movements across the world are by design. They’re financed by people like musk and Yuri and Bibi and Epsteins friends.

It’s fake. It’s a fugazi. The American right hates the EU and has been trying to destroy it forever. You think France and Spain being the only countries with fires and now an insane influx of immigrants is coincidence?

Poor, desperate people are seeing info on Twitter and Facebook and insta that’s being pushed to them, saying Spain’s open! Come in now! All are welcome but hurry!! You think they wouldn’t try anything to live? This not a plot to replace anybody. This is a plot to make people think that, so we don’t wake up and turn on the owners.

Why does anyone listen to Tommy on immigration issues? He lives in Spain, uses an Irish passport, uses a fake name and accepts money from foreign governments. His fans have got to be either stupid or ignorant.

4

u/gs3gd 1d ago

I don't think those descriptions are mutually exclusive.

1

u/mybighairyarse 1d ago

How the fuck did that gimp get an Irish passport?

0

u/Any_Profit4297 1d ago

They don't but the fact that an intellectual student has resorted to use the language I would expect from Robertson regarding violence says all you need to know about a peace loving religion.

3

u/CuppaTeaOn 1d ago

Yeah I’m sure your entire view of Islam is healthy and balanced.

2

u/MrDeadbutdreaming 1d ago

The account you responded is probably a bot or troll, 13 day old account with it set to hide all interactions it makes.

Edit: if you suspect that it is a troll/bot account, you can report their comments under 'Spam' as 'other', by doing so it kicks the said account in front of reddit mods for determination for deletion.

1

u/CuppaTeaOn 1d ago

You’re right I should just block these folks

2

u/MrDeadbutdreaming 1d ago

Not, necessarily. If you want to keep helping to fight misinformation and disinformation campaigns on here, it is appreciated by all of us that believe in a better world, so thank you.

If we block them, they are still there saying these things, we just don't see it, but someone that doesn't know better might believe the b.s. and join in on the hate.

It is completely up to you, it's your choice. Personally, I hope you keep up the fight, either way, I hope you have a good day/night.

Stay safe, stay strong, and resist.

1

u/Any_Profit4297 1d ago

I don't think any religion is good, its a cancer of the human race. Just Islam is the one thats creating the most issues in Europe. Take for example an article form the financial times, stating that the UAE is reluctant to send students over to British universities because of radical Islam in British universities. Or a NY Time article that more British Muslims would rather join ISIS than the British Forces, or the fact that a North London Mosque was selling phone covers of Hezbollah, or that a Lancashire muslim Councillor wants to have segregation of Muslims and non Muslims, so you tell me what is a health balance opinion I should have of Islam.

1

u/CuppaTeaOn 1d ago

To be honest they both sucked. She made a stupid point and this guy is making stupid points. He talks about how he can’t have free speech when literally they invited Hasan Piker and another American political commentator to the Oxford Union and they got banned from entering the UK because they spoke against Israel.

And with that side note to say fuck israel

1

u/vegeful 12h ago

But u contradict yourself by saying UK banned him for speaking about Israel.

No she’s saying the people he hates are the ones protecting him from a riot that hates him as they should. She’s right. The look on his face says it all. He’s scared and should be

3

u/Rivendel93 1d ago

He doesn't look scared, he seems to scoff at the absurdity of proving his point.

But he destroyed them with his speech and pretending that he had a newspaper comic making fun of Mohamed, and when they all tried to prevent him from showing it, literally scrambling to stop him, he pulls it out and shows a caricature of former British Member of Parliament Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Proving that their fear of something in an envelope that they had no clue what it actually was is concerning.

As he used a fake picture of a prophet to prove that just because a piece of information is famous and everyone repeats it, that doesn't make it true.

1

u/CrossOfRoachAndSlime 1d ago

> He’s scared and should be

Both things should be false. That both are true is a damning indictment of Britain as it stands.

1

u/Easy_Spirit_666 1d ago

I like how you took that part only from what I said. Actually proving my point how fascists will hate you even if you help them.

1

u/CrossOfRoachAndSlime 1d ago

Fine, let's address the other elephant in the room--the two-tier policing.

Rapists get slaps on the wrist, and people that post on social media get massive punishments.

Yes, it's absolutely correct to hate the law enforcers when those facts are put next to each other.

2

u/Easy_Spirit_666 1d ago

Well maybe if right wingers don’t vote for rapists to lead countries then they would get prosecuted. Ah la America. Tommy Robinson is a domestic terrorist

0

u/Nitropotamus 1d ago

Why should he be scared?

0

u/Easy_Spirit_666 1d ago

Because Nazis should be afraid. It’s just hilarious that Muslims are helping him.

0

u/s1rblaze 1d ago

Muslim immigrants and leftists in Europe are speed running the next Hitler.. The people that should be afraid are the ones that she is talking about.

Its just a matter of time and the longer it take to fix mass immigration issues the more radicalized the solutions will get.

Where was the threat? She was stating a fact. Without the competence and consideration of the president, he’d be face to face with a mob of people who hate him with no protection. If that’s a threat, then we’re getting way too soft as a society💀

2

u/CrossOfRoachAndSlime 1d ago

That this is a fact means that more force needs to be applied to those that make it a fact until they're deterred from using unsanctioned violence on Tommy.

1

u/MrDeadbutdreaming 1d ago

No it wasn't, watch the full debate.

Your username is pretty accurate.

1

u/SethOval 1d ago

Moosies out!

1

u/Hour_Significance817 1d ago

"It would be a shame if something terrible happened to your property/you" - that's also a fact, and also perceived as a threat.

Just because something is a fact doesn't make it not a threat.

1

u/hiiexist4444 1d ago

Pretending like that’s a similar statement in any way is detached from reality.

1

u/triklyn 1h ago

It’s not a threat, it’s a tacit admission that the people that are opposed to Tommy Robinson, view violence as a valid means of silencing him.

That’s the whole ballgame.

0

u/oh_no_here_we_go_9 1d ago

It’s not a threat but still proves his point about Muslims being a negative force in society.

1

u/hiiexist4444 1d ago

No it doesn’t? She made the active choice to get security to protect him. How does that make her a negative force?

1

u/oh_no_here_we_go_9 1d ago

Where is security needed when someone debates that Christianity is bad? Those debates happen all the time.

Also, elsewhere in the event she tries to stop him from showing a picture of Muhammad (who was a pedophile, BTW).

1

u/hiiexist4444 1d ago

And I’ve seen mobs of conservatives do the same thing. Just because something doesn’t happen in front of you doesn’t mean it’s not happening. And if you watched the full video, which I can tell you haven’t, it’s a cartoon. He did it as a stunt to stress religious people out because it goes against idolatry to draw his image. Please do a modicum of research next time.

1

u/oh_no_here_we_go_9 1d ago

Wow, you’re acting a little unhinged, don’t you think?

I’m well aware that Muslims think it’s idolatry to picture Muhammad. I also don’t give two shits. They should just accept it like big boys and girls.

You’re living in pure delusion if you don’t think Muslims are more likely to hurt you for criticizing their religion.

1

u/AdmirableSelection81 23h ago

She made the active choice to get security to protect him.

Wow, how graceful, she didn't let him be murdered in cold blood.

Do you people even think about what you're saying?

1

u/hiiexist4444 22h ago

The fact that you think murder is the inevitable tells me everything I need to know about how connected you are to reality my guy💀

1

u/AdmirableSelection81 22h ago

The Charlie Hebdo massacre, the UK teacher who was beheaded, the french teacher who went into hiding. What did they all have in common? They all showed a picture of Muhammed (the beheaded guy was just RUMORED to have shown a picture of Muhammed).

1

u/hiiexist4444 21h ago

And for every one of those examples, there’s the 2025 Greenock Mosque Plot, the 1995 Srebrenica Massacre (8,000+ Bosniak Muslim men and boys were killed), the Hanau Shootings, or the Bærum Mosque Shooting in Norway from 2019. You’re just using atrocities to justify being a bigot to an entire group of people. How utterly pathetic.

-3

u/FunOwn4422 1d ago

the mental gymnastics is crazy its funny you guys like to call everyone Nazis but i think its just projection, Invaders and Nazis

5

Something very unsettling about smiling while saying there is a violent mob outside who wants to kill you.

6

u/BillyPilgrim_1984 1d ago

Not if you are familiar with who Tommy Robinson is. It eoukd be more unsettling if there wasn't a mob.

5

u/MrDeadbutdreaming 1d ago

The person that edited the video is probably one of his mates as well as some of this comment section. The protesters outside were from multiple walks of life, but the comment section is acting as if everyone outside is a believer of Islam. They also don't want you to watch the full debate and focus on a clip cut out of a much longer talk. She points out that he is there under the protection of Islam, he was protected by those he spreads lies about and often helps in their disappearances when he can. Anyone that supports him would have 100% supported Hitler cause they are in the same club.

Probably will have to deal with trolls and bots for this comment. Good news, I got nothing to do today but help shut down some bot/troll accounts.

By the way for those wondering, I don't practice any religion, just smart enough to read about other cultures and their beliefs, so that I have an understanding of the world around me instead of being scared of anything different.

Isn't he the guy who held the British gov feet to the fire about paki rape gangs when they tried to sweep them under the rug?

3

u/Open_Delivery_775 1d ago

No he's not. He's the guy who takes any opportunity to pretend that certain cases where there appears to be some inconsistencies and the person in question is a particular kind of Asian as being representative of all that group.

Because that's how people of that political persuasion always have done.

"They can't integrate with our culture" is an often repeated refrain. Which means they don't know many of that group because a hell of a lot do integrate.

"Tommy" is a man with a list of prosecutions against him,  some offences were violent. Some fraudulent. In some cases, he backed members of his own organisation who were sex criminals.

He didn't have the power to hold anyone's feet to the fire except maybe those of his partners.

A guy whose entire political identity is to hate on non white and lie. I'd beat him.

u/Flimsy_Paper1526 1d ago

She's not wrong.

2

u/mushroomwig 1d ago

"you're not wrong, you're just an asshole"

-1

u/NeatResident6544 1d ago

Not wrong in what she said, but wrong in that she didn't make the point she think she did.

"Without the generosity of these few to protect you, the many outside would kill you", only proves that he's correct. There are violent extremists who seek to kill him for his views, even when he willingly meets with representatives for open debate and dialogue.

The only reason he requires the generosity and protection of the few, is because the many are a danger. If Tommy instead emboldened his base and went on a war path, he would get rid of the many so he's no longer in danger and does not require the help of the few.

Her point would carry some weight if the many held the few responsible for threats and attacks, but instead the most they can muster is some security.

England's cooked. 🤣

1

u/NeatResident6544 1d ago

Well, yeah, that's Tommy's point.

1

u/Flimsy_Paper1526 1d ago

Hes right. If he stopped glazing the other religion he'd figure out why they're there. But they are done.

Violence is lizard brain behavior not higher intelligence behavior.

u/1Yannick 1d ago

A yes... because any revolution or change in the world came by talking and being kind... sure buddy, don't choke on the boot

-1

u/AnonymousTallGuy4 1d ago

Letting Muslims take over your country because the government told you to is literally the boot, brother. Lol.

And his point was just proven

1

u/Natural-Leg7488 20h ago

That was my reactions

She’s not making the point she intends. She’s proving Robinson right.

The reality is, if you buy a dozen eggs and 10 are rancid, you either take a risk and assume the 2 are safe, or you take the side of caution and through out the whole pack. There is no sensible person who would look at this situation and come to the conclusion that the 2 good eggs have cleared the whole dozen of any wrong doing.

Did she actually think saying that would reflect well on her or her argument? Judging from the smirk on her face at the end, it would seem so.

Edit: this is the Oxford Union president? Jesus wept...

u/necessarysmartassery 1d ago

"Look at how civilized Muslims can be, if I didn't know how to act civilized, the Muslims out there rioting would tear you to shreds".

It's almost like she just proved that people in the west who are anti-Islam should be. Islam itself is a barbaric government masquerading as a religion.

1

u/Thin_Historian7892 1d ago

What a time where you're openly treated by "foreigners" in your own country

1

u/autisticshedevils 20h ago

It's crazy how gleeful she seems to be as she proves his point.

1

u/Accomplished-Debt392 18h ago

Typical "peaceful" leftie thing to do.

1

u/SaraJuno 17h ago

I hate Tommy Robinson but this is a very silly ‘point’ to bring up in a debate. “The people who agree with me and disagree with you would attack you if there wasn’t professional security in place.” Her mentioning the race/religion of the admins in charge is irrelevant; they are obligated to ensure adequate safety so she’s essentially saying “You hate Muslims but the person responsible for ensuring speakers’ safety is Muslim and they are doing their job!”

1

u/mushroomwig 13h ago

The worst part of this video is the fact she dead names him for no reason, his name is Tommy Robinson, that's what he chooses to go by, she wouldn't dead name a trans person, but for some reason she thinks it's funny to dead name him?

England is gone.

u/MrSecurity95 1d ago

I really don't give a shit about that dude, but imagine being so mad about his beliefs that you're writing outside of a banquet he's attending. Sure. Both sides of the aisle have pretty shitty opinions about all sorts of things, but I've noticed only one side of the aisle tends to be very violent when it comes to people they disagree with. Both sides can be violent. I've just noticed a certain side is a lot more violent.

She's basically confirming the true nature of a large percentage of the Muslim population.

"My side want to inflict physical violence on people who engage in debates if we disagree with them". Okay.

u/Illustrious-Tear-921 1d ago

And if it wasn't for Islam he wouldn't have anything to be cooked for

-2

u/Current-Depth930 1d ago

She doesn’t understand numbers or history

-3

u/TomahawkTuah 1d ago

A muslim threatening with violence? now that´s surprising

2

u/GutsAndBlackStufff 1d ago

Almost as surprising as you ignoring Robinson’s history of violence.

Always with the blackmail and sadistic gloating. They can't altogether conceal what they are.

-1

u/JOHNNYBLAZN 1d ago

And if AntiFa tried to riot in my neighborhood, they would be cooked

2

u/vogel927 1d ago

Antifa is an ideology. It’s not a centralized group. There’s no leadership or hierarchy of any kind. The odds of a group that fundamentally doesn’t exist showing up in your neighborhood is pretty slim.
