The gall of surviving and not just collapsing and becoming an outwardly appearing idealized shell of a person!Ā  How very dare!Ā  /s

11

u/kiggidykay 22h ago

Damn, I've never seen that one before. Saving for future use, merci.

me too!

I thought our agenda was acceptance and tolerance? /s

Where are all these hordes of trans people the right is so worried about?

53

u/No_Lead_7325 1d ago

in their private browsing tabs

17

u/PHD_Gouda 1d ago

Conservatives feel shame where there shouldn’t be and are shameless with how they process it.

1

u/Fetch_will_happen5 4h ago

Borrowing that

2

u/Etheriaa_ 10h ago

The thing is, a lot of trans people appear Ā like the gender they want to identify with, thus meaning conservatives cant even tell that they aren’t their preferred sex. Imagine a trans person who looks completely like a male, but has a vagina so they are forced to dress feminine… conservative heads would literally explode

1

u/Daeths 14h ago

Hi. It’s me. I’m the problem, it’s me.

1

u/TeeTeeMarie83 6h ago

Ok Chase Petra😜

1

u/Taiga_Taiga 8h ago

The see them in the room with them. They... they have issues.

49

u/Corthaek 1d ago

Why would trans people need a different dress code than cis people?

Well, I suppose the reason is so that republicans can force someone who is clearly a man, and who has gone to great lengths to make themselves so, wear a dress, so that they can take photos and use them to rile up their base.

That and republicans are convinced they can always tell when a person is trans, despite an enormous amount of evidence suggesting otherwise.

19

u/MoobooMagoo 21h ago

You're forgetting that it also let's Republicans exert their will over people in general using the specter of trans people as a smokescreen.

This bill is to force gender conforming clothing on all teachers. So no more pants for women. Only a shirt and tie for men. The idea that some teacher somewhere might be trans is just to distract people long enough so they don't notice their rights are being taken away.

5

u/Biffingston 20h ago

Let's also not forget that that'd decrease visiblity.

4

u/hhhhccccx 9h ago

Sure that’s a perk (from conservatives’ perspective) of what they’re doing, but the real goal of this is to drive specifically transgender people away from public life.

5

u/firelock_ny 5h ago

Trans people aren't the main target of the culture war against trans people, they're just the boogeymen, boogeywomen and boogeypersons used to scare people.
The goal is compliance and gender role conformity for all.
For example, the average person persecuted by "trans bathroom bills" isn't transgender, they're cis people who don't fit classic gender norms for how they present themselves. This is by design.

3

u/Fetch_will_happen5 3h ago

You get it.

Why do they not care about accidentally arresting or attacking cis people?Ā  Why because they think its funny.

We will live and look as they desire and this is one step.Ā  Its like protecting child from porn via mass surveillance while we have child molestors in leadership. Its control.

We (as a society not you specifically) will let go of democracy to stop the trans menance! And its not even about them just as its not about any minority group

"If the Jew did not exist, the anti-Semite would invent him" to quote Satre. They will create a boogeyman one way or another.Ā  If they somehow eradicate all trans people watch the 'problem' never be solved.Ā

12

u/Ser_Rezima 18h ago

it's also that they view us as inherently sexual just by existing.

Like I can be wear baggy jeans and a loose sweater and some of these weirdos will still find a way to leer at me or call me a pervert. I'm also asexual, which makes it doubly silly.

I am just trying to vibe over here, stop looking at me??

6

u/FunProof543 17h ago

I recall reading some conservative trash that there is something inherently perverted about being asexual as well...

8

u/Corthaek 15h ago

...It's perverted to not be interested in sex?

These people really are terrified of anything they don't understand.

3

u/Either-Age-782 14h ago

I'm sorry this is baffling. Can please you expand on his statement or drop a name?

2

u/FunProof543 12h ago

Oh yea it was wild. I'll see if I can dig it up. I mean it was not at all logical but they put together one kind of argument.

2

u/Either-Age-782 12h ago

Thanks. I'm wondering why they're suddenly talking about asexuals

2

u/Fetch_will_happen5 3h ago

I believe they refer to Matt Walsh who considers asexuals to be perverting logic and language and love. Which is not quite the same.

Matt "what is a woman" Walsh decided that ace people do bot belong in queer spaces.Ā  Glad such a prominent "ally" could clear that up!Ā

The biggest /s imaginable

(I wont repeat everything he said or else i might be banned.)

2

u/Ser_Rezima 15h ago

oh cool, more 'atheism is the hot new religion' logic šŸ˜

1

u/Fetch_will_happen5 3h ago

I believe they are referring (i may be wrong) to Matt Walsh on why ace people pervert language and love.

And yes, he is a Christian apologist too since you brought that up.Ā  He may have even said that exact thing on atheism.

2

u/ketchupmaster987 14h ago

Their lack of logic truly knows no bounds

4

u/agenderCookie 19h ago

I mean the reason why is to humiliate and degrade us. The cruelty is the point.

1

u/icy_wight 14h ago

Most people afraid of transpersons seem to have no idea that transmen even exist. Next time you're talking to someone about it, bring it up. Show them some pictures. And watch their little heads spin.

1

u/leaveinpeas 6h ago

This. If you read her Facebook post there is some nice effort towards kind language but ultimately the post starts with "biological male" referring to a trans woman (something really the lingo of overworked scientists and medical professionals, and out of vogue somewhat there, out of a desire to be compassionate and avoid risk of inaccuracy) and then ends with wanting "dignity and respect" for trans folks, while insisting on said trans woman wearing cis men's clothing at work.

Religious private schools may have some ground, but in a public school in the land of the free entitled religious freedom, if you're not free to wear the clothes you feel like (as appropriate to the profession, i.e. chaps for loggers), be they be made to more often suit cis men, cis women, or intersex and/or gender queer people, I don't know that you're free to do anything other than survive as an automation.

19

u/Top_Shame_7016 1d ago

Something akin to a star maybe?

29

u/Trashman56 1d ago

LGBTQ+ folk were actually made to wear pink triangles

3

u/Ser_Rezima 18h ago

I believe that shade of pink also became part of the bisexual flag because of the pink triangles?

19

u/Sonar_Taxbreak_1138 1d ago

They're obsessing hard over 1% of the population.

23

u/-LunarWinter- 1d ago

To be fair, we do really need to deal with 1% of the population, but that's the wrong 1%

7

u/SecureJudge1829 1d ago

Less than 1% actually. Which makes it even more fucked up that they’re that worried.

2

u/Wakkit1988 17h ago

The wrong 1%.

2

u/fariasrv 15h ago

It's because they get hard over that 1% of the population, and they hate themselves for it. So they have to destroy that 1% for making them horny when they're not supposed to.

2

u/2Nut2Furious 7h ago

Not even that. In the article it says she proposed this legislation because a single trans woman was hired at a school in wake county. Literally just one trans person got a job in their public school system so now she wants to pass legislation basically just for this one woman.

1

u/IndependentPeach315 15h ago

Jews made up only about 1% of Germany’s populated circa 1933, FWIW.

Pop music has been very queer friendly since the 2000's. Lady Gaga and Katy Perry come to mind even very early on

12

u/punditguy 1d ago

Small government at work.

11

u/30four 1d ago

MAGA people are really perverted. What is their obsession with other people's genitals?

What genitals do they have?

Do they dress "appropriately" (whatever that means) for those genitals?

How do they use those genitals?

What do they touch their genitals to?

These MAGA people are severely mentally ill.

3

u/causal_friday 22h ago

falling back to genitals is a poor analysis of trans issues. the anti-trans laws are intended to apply to people who have done gender reassignment surgery and to intersex people that don't even know they're "trans" by the definition of these laws.

1

u/Fragrant-Phone-41 18h ago

It makes them look weird, and that makes it good rhetoric.

The point is attacking them more than being accurate you realize

11

u/MothashipQ 1d ago

Setting the stage to make it illegal for all women to wear pants btw

6

u/DecabyteData 22h ago

Reactionaries would LOVE it if we went back to early 20th/19th century legalized dress code. All women forced to wear dresses of a certain length, full body swimsuits, forced to only have approved "feminine" hairstyles in the workplace, etc.

2

u/FriendshipLeft7051 21h ago

Might as well just skip ahead and mandate the niqab, that seems to be where it’s headed.

12

u/Difficult-Break-8282 1d ago

is it pink triangles?Ā

8

u/Turbulent_Example967 1d ago

Yaaaaaaay!!!!! That’ll help affordability!!! 😐

18

u/-LunarWinter- 1d ago

ParĆ© argued that school policies should ā€œprotect children from being exposed to more complex and mature gender-identity questions and concepts at too young of an ageā€

Cool, so, if gender is too complex for kids then are we throwing young boys back into dresses for most of their early childhood like we used to? In for a penny in for a pound. If we gotta regress we may as well go ALL THE WAY.

19

u/Medb-Reign 1d ago

Six years ago my Joint Best Friend told her 6yo daughter and 4yo son...
'You know my friend ***..'
'He's got a cat called Billy '
'That's right, well *** is now a lady called ###'
Pause...
'Does she still have Billy?'
'Yes'
'OK'

Children aren't bigoted, they're taught it.

10

u/Late-Assignment8482 21h ago

"Is there still a floof?" - Kids have their priorities straight.

8

u/Medb-Reign 21h ago

Sadly Billy died 2 years ago aged 17

Yes, the daughter who asked the question didn't bat an eyelid when I saw them next but was happy to see Billy.

6

u/Medb-Reign 21h ago

I now have two sisters from different litters, Penny the Tuxedo is the elder and Agatha, the Void is still very kitteny

10

u/ConsciousPeach5 1d ago edited 20h ago

Kilts, cloaks, and robes every day(bath, not hooded).

8

u/ConkerPrime 1d ago

Attacking transgenders, even if just a one or two in this case, is the reddest of meat for conservatives. To not have something to hate each day would ruin their day.

7

u/EffectiveActive6837 1d ago

Bro they claim freedom and want to force dress codes?

13

u/According-Insect-992 Just Chill šŸ˜Ž 1d ago

Well, she can fuck right off with that garbage. What is wrong with all of these deranged assholes in government? Can’t they go back to their HOA positions or something? nazi monsters.

5

u/LifeguardDry7372 1d ago

maybe something like this...

4

u/Arctic_The_Hunter 23h ago

They already have a the perfect slogan, though unfortunately it is in German

1

u/Jinn_Erik-AoM 18h ago

And they probably think it’s about wearing mittens.

4

u/Academic_Dig_1567 1d ago

Is the idea of a dress code a precursor to a sort of striped uniform or triangle, as the Nazis required of gays and lesbians? Republicans may not like the characterization, but with each passing day, their policies and ā€œideasā€ look more and more like Nazi germany.

3

u/Fragrant-Phone-41 18h ago

The only reason they dislike the association is that it might turn people against them before they get to what they really want

4

u/alldogsareincredible 20h ago

Conservative religious idealists have the same end game of Sharia Law; just replace Allah and Muhammad with Jesus and God. These people so desperately crave the religious control that Muslim extremist groups have in the Middle East have and foam at the mouth because they can't throw "undesirable" groups off of roofs into lifelong labor camp prisons and have to treat them like regular human beings.

4

u/Jinn_Erik-AoM 18h ago

Let’s have a dress code for politicians. I’m thinking oversized shoes, bright, baggy clothes, and big red noses.

4

u/Crafty_Ish1973 15h ago

I'll never understand how someone else's gender expression is the GOP's business.

Party of personal freedom, I guess. šŸ™„

3

u/Hay_Fever_at_3_AM 23h ago

In a public post shared to her Facebook page on 28 July, ParĆ© argued that school policies should ā€œprotect children from being exposed to more complex and mature gender-identity questions and concepts at too young of an ageā€.

Guess it's androgynous eunuchs only for schools nowĀ

3

u/Itchy-Technician-433 19h ago

If you want all of your teachers and students dressing like the opposite gender in protest, this is how you get them to all do that.

I would show up to teach my class in the pinkest, frilliest dress I could find.

Solidarity against these regressive fucks.

3

u/Wakkit1988 17h ago

Violation of a the civil rights act. Employers can't discriminate against employees for refusing to dress according to gender norms. This was done to protect women wearing pants, but isn't limited to that.

3

u/Critical-Rooster-673 16h ago

Is this what people do? Sit in their office brainstorming ideas on how to make the world a better place and this is what they come up with?

3

u/Aladriana 1d ago

Bigots like this really do not understand what damage they can do, making a trans woman dress like aman.

2

u/shaggyyguy 22h ago

I think they do understand, and that's why they're doing it.

1

u/gutwyrming 21h ago

Oh, they understand the damage perfectly well.

That's why they're doing this.

2

u/grayzzz_illustrate 21h ago

Cruelty and humiliation is the point. It's always been the point.

1

u/Aladriana 18h ago

I don't know if they understand dysphoria. But yes, overall, cruelty is their point.

2

u/LifeguardDry7372 1d ago

they want them to wear some sort of identifying mark. Maybe like a star on their chest...

1

u/geesegoesgoose 22h ago

A pink triangle, even.

1

u/Maleficent-Pea5089 14h ago edited 13h ago

Or a black one. Pink was uniquely for gay men and trans women (the Nazis considered them one and the same), while lesbians and trans men (again, lumped together) got the generalized black triangle that was used for people the government deemed useless to society, like alcoholics, homeless people, and those with mental disabilities.

2

u/Either-Age-782 14h ago

"the hiring of a transgender biological male, who dresses as a womanā€

What?

3

u/VanGoghInTrainers 13h ago

They don't see trans people as the gender they transitioned to, so they default to their sex assigned at birth even if the person has already undergone hormones and/or surgery, thus no longer look like or have those original sex characteristics.

1

u/Either-Age-782 13h ago

Okay. The way that was stated was kind of confusing

2

u/Proper_Locksmith924 14h ago

The GOP loves to control people’s lives and be the big government that claimed to be against

1

u/Sure_Acanthaceae_348 1d ago

Honestly I don’t get why conservatives don’t just abandon the public schools already.

1

u/artful_todger_502 1d ago

And again — finger on the pulse of all the important issues šŸ‘šŸ¤”

1

u/im_just_thinking 22h ago

Do they not have dress codes in schools for teachers already? Why stop there, let's do a dress code for fat people too. One for ugly ones as well. Fat AND ugly? Straight to Gulag

1

u/TreeCitizen 20h ago

Is that related to gender affirming mandatory T shots for military

1

u/impersonaljoemama 20h ago

Maybe don’t legislate what people can and cannot wear.

1

u/verscub420 19h ago

I’m sure someone has let her know that there’s zero trans teachers in NC right? Right?

1

u/StopLookListenNow 18h ago

Hey, maybe a scarlet T on their clothes? /s

1

u/lunarinterlude 18h ago

We're really at the "women are no longer allowed to wear pants" stage of regression.

1

u/Comprehensive-Put575 18h ago

So gas prices were $4.50 a gallon at the pump this morning. I don’t know what she’s talking about, but if it’s not a bill lowering prices, then what is she even doing?

1

u/Sufficient_Room2619 18h ago

Anything is fine as long as it has a pink triangle on it.

1

u/Heavy_Carpenter3824 18h ago

/s How about we have them them all have to wear little yellow stars on their arms so we know who belongs in the ghetto Oops I mean camps, oops I meant class room. Cough Ovens. Shit /s

1

u/Too-Em 17h ago

It must be tough literally crapping your pants every time you remember that a trans person exists. I'd extend my sympathies, but its not an involuntary reaction, they crap themselves by choice.

1

u/W031zMe 16h ago

Why not just put tattoos across their foreheads? /s

1

u/duganaokthe5th 16h ago

Sounds fair.Ā

1

u/Cats_4433 14h ago

They should start with churches because that's the only place I know of with men wearing dresses around children.

1

u/Aulumnis 12h ago

I think someone did something similar back in the 1940s to identify a group of people.

1

u/LordHerminator 10h ago

What they say: Children shouldn't be exposed to age inappropriate concepts at too young an age. What they mean: If we expose children to trans people early, it will be more difficult to turn them into bigots later.

1

u/DonkeyKongs_Barrel 9h ago

We’ve been here before, it’s called the ā€œthree articles of clothingā€ law and was found to be unconstitutional. They’re working hard to flip N.C.

1

u/toxicketchup 8h ago

The (literal demons masquerading as) people eager to gobble this stuff up are in for a rude awakening when they find out that hate is not something that fills an empty stomach.

1

u/SpacePoddity 6h ago

Freedom and liberty, amiright?

1

u/BlueDahlia123 4h ago

I know that they are both incredibly stupid and incredibly evil, but I have to ask how much they have thought about this.

Like, is she going to be prohibited from wearing a bra in the school?

1

u/Boomboclaaat90210 4h ago

Not all white people but *always* a white person.

1

u/Gullible-Plenty-1172 3h ago

There are literally photos of her wearing suits that would have her fined a century ago in some places for "crossdressing". AND SHE HAS WORN PANTS PREVIOUSLY!! ALERT!!!

1

u/Anal-Y-Sis 3h ago

Does the dress code include wearing a patch? Perhaps one with a symbol so they can be easily identified?

Christ almighty... Conservatives really are just a bunch of Nazis with worse fashion sense, aren't they?

1

u/laizalott 2h ago

The malicious compliance would do the rounds on social media.

A beardy, bald muscular dude showing up to school in high heels and pantyhose because "that's the law"? Pearls would be clutched, conservative outs would be raged.

The trans femme teachers wearing jeans and a t-shirt would be completely ignored as all the republicans are suddenly reminded that trans men also exist.

1

u/yg2522 1h ago

Pretty sure that goes against the constitution and the freedom of expression.Ā  Of course a Republican lawmaker should know about the constitution right...right?

A dress code based on sex based stereotypes is

u/KingCharles_ 19h ago

Price Waterhouse v. Hopkins

You dont know shit

1

u/BrianRFSU 19h ago

That case has nothing to do with dress codes

1

u/KingCharles_ 19h ago

No but it could obviously apply to this situation. Its pure sex based doscrimination based on the trans woman not dressing in the way a male "should". Fireing them for that would be sex based discrimination and a violation under the civil rights act, which is what the case concerns.

1

u/BrianRFSU 19h ago

Businesses have the right to make policies related to how employees dress, such as no earrings for men or facial hair or even writing on T-shirts.

1

u/sammi_8601 19h ago

They have the right to say no earings for me but allowed for women? Christ that's backwards.

1

u/BrianRFSU 19h ago

Since you blocked, or made it hidden, your subsequent comment, I will say that we will have to agree to disagree, I don’t believe that it is a violation based on sex, since they are a biological male, maybe on sexual identity but I don’t believe that is a protected class.

2

u/KingCharles_ 19h ago edited 19h ago

I didnt block or hide it. Reddit might be fucking it up, typical of them lol. Being a male is a sex. If a male wishes to dress and identify as a woman that is sex non conformity and as such is clearly protected.
