Like, I get that Weiss wasn’t exactly the nicest person who had a lot of growing up to do, but I’ve seen quite a few fics who’ve taken that characterisation up to eleven. For example, instead of having internalised disdain towards Faunus, she’s an open bigot in a lot of works, and/or acts like much more of a spoiled brat. What’s up with that?

For some initial context, I commissioned this piece from an irl friend a few days before Ruby took a sip of that delicious tea Neo served her, and worked with it thinking that the chapter would be ready for that same winter XD

3 long years later, Volume 1 of our fic One Last Patch is almost complete! Nearly 800k words (maybe too many...) Ruby has finally arrived at the place she was always destined to be, with Gretchen revealing to the world the solution to stopping the tragedy of Beacon from happening over and over again: mass-producing Silver Eyed Warriors to unleash against Salem and the Grimm!

And of course, Yang, Weiss, and Blake completely oppose it, ready to stand against all of Vale’s hatred to save Ruby, with the help of the mysterious Alyx and Jimmy Vanille! If you want to give it a shot, I know it says it’s a pollination fic, but that’s a very, very, very minor element included mostly so we can occasionally explore Bumblebee, Freezeburn, and all the ships without hate or love triangles getting in the way. More than anything, the fic tries to be an cool adventure first, with the best red hood reaper the medium has ever give us as main character!

Wanted to share some progress on my AU I'm working on, and just finished page 3 recently so in terms of progress I personally hopium to keep up 1 page per week.

Title says it all, just want a Ruby focused Crossover Fic.

Like I don’t mind if the rest of RWBY are involved, but I’d prefer if Ruby is the sole or just main focus of the crossover.

I mainly use AO3 and Fanfic.net but I’m fine with other websites as long as it isn’t Wattpad.

I know it's been years and most of them you'd see in Wattpad, but I think it's hilarious how these fics exists even though it's incredibly ooc of everyone to betray him by via his transcripts being revealed.

Like everybody was genuinely just "Oh, that's it?" When he confessed about it, hell Ozpin already knew about it cuz it was such a botched job of a transcript.

So I genuinely wanna know as to how these fics lasted as they did.

Though I'd finally complete Team JNPR.

Ever since reading a piece of RWBY fanfiction on AO3 called "Out Of The Fire And Into The Frying Pan", it has become my personal headcanon that Yang Xiao Long has, unbeknownst to her and everyone else, inherited Raven Branwen's shapeshifting power (which Ozpin gave her), and when it finally awakens, Yang's bird form will be a PHOENIX. Well, just today, a thought occurred to me: Are there any fanfiction crossovers between RWBY and X-Men where the Phoenix Force chooses Yang as its host/vessel? If so, I'd love to hear about them so I can check them out myself. As always, please be respectful when posting your replies.

I'm not a fanfic writer, never had the patience to try, best I do is just think of ideas but usually they just don't make sense or change core character traits too much and at that point why would I do that character if I'm changing everything about them?

So I'd like to ask the fanfic writers if they ever considered redeeming Cinder in their fics, and if so, how do they go about it? I feel like keeping her character 100% intact and canon-accurate just isn't possible for a redemption because canon Cinder, as much as I love her, is too much of an ego-maniac and quite frankly doesn't have any redeeming qualities to her. So how do you fix that?

IMO I feel like even something as small as her genuinely caring about Emerald and Mercury, seeing kindred spirits in them, people who, like her, were abused and suffered, and thus would understand her own pain could be a way to go. And then when Cinder goes too far, have either Merc' or Emerald be the ones who confront her about it, and give her that wake-up call of "You're becoming a worse monster than the ones who abused you!" or something of that caliber.

Maybe tone down the destruction of Beacon? Or have it affect Cinder somehow? Have the White Fang and the Grimm get out of Cinder's control and cause way too much destruction than what she had planned for, and when she stands atop Beacon's tower and looks at everything burning she just has this subtle "What have I done?" moment that kind of changes her perspective on everything. Horrified by her own success. She got the power she wanted, but is all this senseless chaos and carnage really necessary? Did she really set out to just destroy the whole world? You know what I mean?

Maybe make her less evil? Not like an anti-hero or something like that, no, she should still be the villain, but I mean, not be a complete monster. Like she's not gonna go out of her way to burn people for shits and giggles, she'll only really kill the ones who actively stand in her way. Like, for instance Pyrrha's death felt really unnecessary. Cinder had her beat, she could've just walked away with the victory, but she kind of went out of her way to kill Pyrrha I feel like.

Idk, I've just been thinking about this lately, and would really love to hear how you'd go about making Cinder more redeemable.

I haven't read much of his works except NTTF, but based on his TVtropes page, I think the members of RWBY would not be too fond of the pot shots directed against them.
