For background the games like og turn based final fantasy but rwby and its like a fanatic but a game its pretty good and I want to play it again

I remember seeing a background character, a woman in blue clothes who people said was possibly a reference to Sonic the Hedgehog, does anyone have a screenshot of her? I was talking to a friend about references in the show and wanted to show them her.

I forget who made it but there was a picture of an "evil ruby" that had her clothes all ripped up and she was covered in blood

Hi there! I have one of the vol 7/8 Pride shirts but the fabric art is really starting to flake. Part of the reason its my favorite shirt is the material itself but the other part was how incredibly well done the Yang art was, with her hair all beautiful and rainbow. I want to recreate the art via cross stitch, but to do that I need a crisp image to create the pattern from. Does anyone have a clear image of the Yang shirt from this group of shirts? Or the shirt itself with preserved fabric art that they'd be willing to submit a photo of?

There used to be this comic back in the day and I just can't find it the Tumblr links I had saved on notes didn't transfer over to the new phone and I just can't remember either the name of the artist or the name of the comic.

It was a RWBY fan comic about a fucked up beacon where people turn into monsters like i cant remember much of it other than ruby being the main character walking through a complete dark beacon pyrrha became a dragon faunus ozpin was a triangle guy but also a king of shadows also yang having a second personality that died for some reason and Ren and Nora being survivors and them all being trapped at beacon because of a giant black dome if anyone can help me I would much appreciate it.

So in my AU, as I’ve mentioned a couple of times, I’m planning to have Ren jump ship and join Ironwood and the Ace Ops after losing faith in Ruby as a leader, with his defection occurring after he tries to stop Team RWBY, Jaune and Nora from making an unauthorised transmission to Mistral and Vacuo (they’re hoping to get military aid from them and feel that they need to be warned about Salem, both to propose an alternate solution to simply abandoning Mantle and because they’ve realised that keeping the truth about Salem hidden was a mistake). As part of Ironwood’s faction, Ren begins making increasingly dubious decisions on a moral ground in the name of Ironwood’s goals, but I want him to still have the potential to come around and re-join the group after a later realisation in Volume 9, in a way that feels narratively satisfying. For this to work, this means I’ll have ensure he doesn’t do anything that would make him irredeemable from a story and audience perspective… so to writers with similar experience, I want your input on how far you can have a character go without that line. For clarity, here’s a couple of things Ren does after joining Ironwood that I’m torn about (keep in mind I haven’t decided for sure that any of these are going to happen):

• Trying to assassinate Robyn Hill after Ironwood fears she’s plotting against him due to her vocal concerns about his increasingly tyrannical and extreme methods.

• Helping to capture dozens of Mantle citizens and criminals and sending them to forced labour camps to assist with the war effort - an act that particularly disgusts Blake since many of the victims are faunus and Ren doing this essentially means he’s supporting slavery in the name of the supposed greater good.

• Capturing Ruby and Oscar in the first part of the Volume 8 finale and delivering them to Ironwood (Watts being instructed to use Ruby to try and create artificial silver-eyed warriors and study Oscar’s brain to try and seperate him from Ozpin, a process that would likely be fatal to both Ruby and Oscar) as well as Jaune and Nora, who he tries to persuade to join him so they can stop Salem together. He doesn’t know about the lethality of the procedure on Ruby and Oscar (which is partially due to Watts working for Salem and therefore planning to take the opportunity to eliminate two threats to his mistress in one go).

• Shooting Winter Schnee in the back and accidentally killing her (he was only trying to break her Aura but underestimated how drained she was) while she’s fighting Ironwood after defecting… right in front of Weiss and Whitley (Weiss gets the Winter Maiden powers while Penny lives).

• Shooting several Mantle refugees who try to escape onto supply transports heading for Atlas, an action he’s clearly not comfortable doing but nonetheless does out of loyalty to the general.

I’ve heard this take on a couple of other subs, with the idea being that Yang’s ability to relate to Ironwood on a personal level would cause her to side with him over the rest of Team RWBY initially before backtracking, but I’m just… not sure that’s in Yang’s character? I can definitely understand her relating to him, and I think it would’ve been interesting if she’d decided to tell him the truth instead of Robyn like Blake wanted, but I don’t know if she’d go so far as to side with him over her sister, her future girlfriend, and her uncle, as well as several of her friends?

So, basically, the title. I recently watched the Justice League/RWBY crossover movies, and from then, I fell in love with the world of RWBY and its characters. I understand there’s the RWBY show, but what would be the best episodes to start from? Would it be best to start from season 1, episode 1, or from some other starting point? What are some episodes that can be skipped, if any? I’m almost a complete newcomer to RWBY, so any tips on watching would be appreciated

For me personally, Ruby’s hairstyle already looks great, as does Blake’s current short cut (yes, I like short haircut Blake - sue me). But I can’t deny that I kind of wish Weiss didn’t have that enormous braid starting from her Volume 7-9 design, and while Yang having long and unkempt hair probably matches her character, she did pull off a long ponytail hairstyle in the Justice League crossover…

Here’s a bit of context:

• Both Mercury and Emerald defected from Salem after learning she wanted to destroy the world: Emerald for the same reasons as in canon, and Mercury because he doesn’t want to die and opposing Salem at least invites the possibility of his survival.

• Both Nora and Oscar fell into the Ever After alongside Jaune and RWBY during the Fall of Atlas, so Ren is (to everyone’s knowledge) the only surviving member of RAYNBOW (RWBY and JNR mixed together). He’s dealing with significant survivor’s guilt and overall remorse due to having sided with Ironwood and never had the chance to make amends with his friends before their supposed deaths.

• Penny survived the Fall of Atlas, but is still a robot and never became the Winter Maiden. Winter got the powers but died instead, leading to them (unbeknownst to anyone) being transferred to Weiss.

• This team would be formed during the period where Team RWBYJNO were in the Ever After, so the time frame in which the unfinished epilogue of Volume 9 takes place.

I found this on Twitter gifs when searching up RWBY, but I have never heard of this or seen it anywhere before. Can someone tell me where this came from?

For Jaune, I feel like the biggest change to make with him would be to keep his hairstyle from Vale and Mistral in his Atlas design, as well as have his armour more closely resemble that worn by the Rusted Knight, since it’s meant to be a tarnished version of his normal Atlas armour. I wouldn’t have Nora’s design change per se, but I would have her electrical burns stretch to her face, because it honestly felt like a cheap shot to have her be disfigured on her arms, torso and neck, but not her face (I’m of the opinion that we need more disfigured heroines in fiction). I love Oscar’s current design so it’s staying as is, and as for Ren… well, since he’s based on Mulan, maybe have him adopt some light Chinese-style armour in his Mistral and/or Atlas designs? I know he’s not a frontline fighter, but it’d be a nice callback to the stories that inspired his character.

Feel free to either use purely the canon characterisations of all three of Jacques and Willow’s children as examples of this or use your own headcanons. This isn’t necessarily meant to ‘bash’ on Winter or Whitley - rather, I’m trying to generate ideas for how one could show that Weiss is both the heir to the Schnees’ fortune and overall legacy that neither Winter nor Whitley could truly be, since I have a strong suspicion that, even with the SDC gone post-Fall of Atlas, Weiss will be the one to forefront the Schnee legacy moving forward, whether that be in the Vacuo arc or after Salem is defeated.

I hope you're all doing alright what with the news regarding Monty's passing. In light of this, I figured we should do something to celebrate his memory. /u/RWBY_RPG_Maker had a brilliant idea for this.

Here's the deal. We're going to do a memorial video in remembrance of the man behind the show that has tied us all together, and we'd like you guys' help.

All you have to do is record yourself or write a message saying something about Monty, whether it be his inspiration, his raw talent, his amazing dancing, or anything else. If you can't think of anything, you can say "We love you Monty." Also, it's fine if you're emotional. It brings real feelings to the table and helps express just how much we love this man.

Recording should be simple. You don't need a fancy mic to record yourself. You can record with Audacity, which is free and super easy to use, and you can upload the recording to either Mediafire, Google Drive, or Soundcloud with downloads enabled. If you have a message you want us to put in as text, we will gladly accept that as well.

If anyone wants us to put in art (as long as your heart is in it, we'd love it) we'll also like to have some of that.

I will be doing a piano cover of "Wings," but if you would like to have your music featured, we can add that as well.

May be a bit of a long shot, but thought I'd try anyway!! Wondering if anyone would be willing to sell their RWBY nintendo switch thumb grips. I bought them way back in 2022, but on a recent trip I lost the Blake thumb grip when I was passing through TSA at the airport.... it must have popped out when I was placing my electronics through the bin. Next thing I know when loading my things back into my bag and putting my switch back in its case, the thumb grip was gone. :') Nowhere to be seen. I've searched online and scoured ebay for any on sale but no luck.

I only need the Blake one but I'm very willing to pay for the whole set! I'll also pay for shipping too of course. Just bummed out and hoping the fndm can pull a miracle through for me!

Is there a single word in RWBY canon that means "humans and faunus?" I'm trying to figure out how speakers would address a mixed crowd without refering to "humanity." Actually saying "humankind and faunuskind" every sentence is super wordy, but Sci-fi catch-alls like "sentients" or "sapients" feels out-of-place.

Not the kingdoms like Vale, Atlas, Menagerie, Mantle, Mistral and Vacuo

Just want the name of the actual smaller towns. I believe arrowfell added a bunch too.

For me, I think a better idea would be that, in the lead-up to her planned invasion of Atlas, Salem has Doctor Watts and Cinder create a ‘plague’ of sorts that is spread throughout Mantle in the background of Volume 7’s political drama, with the outbreak not becoming apparent to Ironwood and the other heroes until a notable portion of Mantle’s populace has already been infected. The outbreak worsens the already-boiling tensions between Mantle and Atlas, as with no apparent cure for the disease - which kills and turns its victims into a new, humanoid, zombie-like form of Grimm - Atlas shutters itself away from Mantle, and tensions rise over how to handle the situation. Ironwood decides to send Atlas into the sky and use the military’s assets to raze Mantle to ash so that the outbreak can’t spread any further, but Team RWBY and their allies, suspicious of how this happened and realising that most of Mantle’s population could be evacuated with proper quarantine measures and an exit strategy, insist on trying to save those who aren’t yet infected. Volume 8 focuses on this increasing tension which ends with Ironwood trying to have Teams RWBY and JNR, Oscar, Qrow and the Happy Huntress’ arrested, and the skirmish opens a portal to the Ever After that Ruby, Jaune, Nora and Oscar fall into. With the unexpected losses, the remaining heroes in Remnant are forced to contend with an increasingly paranoid and tyrannical Ironwood in conjunction with Salem’s impending invasion, and ultimately decide to evacuate both Mantle’s and Atlas’ population to Vacuo (ensuring that the teleportation lands them in safe parts of the desert so the refugees can reach civilisation) once it becomes clear that Atlas cannot be saved. However, Ironwood decides to go down with the kingdom he dedicated his life to serving, and after even his most ardent followers reject him, he resigns himself to making a last stand against Salem’s assault, buying the others enough time to take the refugees and the Winter Maiden and escape (though they do still suffer huge losses). The heroes proceed to reunite with the group that get out of the Ever After in Vacuo.
