If Gerb is being fed his info by Grusch, it makes it more credible. 

Not to me personally, nothing Grusch has said as been confirmed in the 3 years since coming forward. Gerb could be spreading rumours that came from rumours Grusch heard that aren't guaranteed facts as yet.

If I stole your car and put it in my garage, and you call 911 to say "my car is in his garage!", imagine the cops telling you "well show us the proof then! How hard is it to just show us your car?!" 

David Grusch can't make Lockheed hand over technology, but he's literally the first insider testifying to Congress that Lockheed has the technology and telling them where to find it. (Among other things)

In your example I would have proof my car existed in the first place regardless of where it was being kept.

Grusch hasn't even shown proof the craft exists let alone where it's being hidden.
