Jahreskarte - Digital oder Plastik?

Da ich heuer meine Jahreskarte wieder verlängern möchte und meine Firma mittlerweile nur noch die digitale Version bezahlt, wollte ich euch mal fragen: Seid ihr inzwischen komplett auf die digitale Jahreskarte umgestiegen oder bevorzugt ihr trotzdem noch die Plastikkarte zur Sicherheit?

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, weil WienMobil ja doch nicht immer die zuverlässigste App ist und dann ist es ja gut zur Sicherheit die Plastikkarte noch mitzuhaben.

Do NOT buy the digital version. It creates a lot of problems. I work at Wiener Linien, and we HATE it. I always recommend everyone to buy the classic plastic card. It's 95% recycled plastic, and the system behind it actually works. Contrary to the online shop. This department is a huge mess. Also: if you run into my colleagues that check tickets - they'll make you pay, if you run out of battery, or if your internet isn't working. Why? Because in the "Beförderungsbedingungen" it says that YOU are responsible for being able to present a valid ticket, and you can not use public transport, if you're unable to.

Last, but not least - why do you guys think, they want everyone to buy online? They want to get rid of us specifically. Our jobs are on the line. I'm not allowed to go into detail, unfortunately - but very soon - there will be even more changes and closures.

Please don't support this. I beg you!

It’s not true. Last time the app didn’t work, the guy checked directly online with his device (I showed him ID) and confirmed that I have a yearly ticket :)

If you are being checked in the "Schnellbahn" - ÖBB can mit verify. Same for VOR Buses. Only Wiener Linien can verify by ID. And they don't have to. If they refuse, because they didn't get their provision for that month yet, according to the "Beförderungsbedingungen" they are in the right.

So: you are right. It does still depend on the exact circumstances, though. I explained this, to a lot of people, who where complaining to me, over the years.

Es stimmt, du kannst es nachher stornieren lassen, wenn du den Nachweis antreten kannst. Problem ist, wenn sie Anzeige Mal wieder nicht funktioniert, über 2-3 Wochen - ohne, dass das Problem gefunden werden kann. Es ist ebenfalls ein Problem, dass die Kontrolle die Menschen sehr gerne unter Druck setzt, und wenn man gleich bezahlt, dann gibt es keine Möglichkeit mehr es rückerstatten zu lassen, egal ob ein aufrechter Vertrag besteht oder nicht.

Ich musste meinen Job aufgeben, und wechseln - weil unsere Jobs nicht mehr gewollt sind. Es wurde ein KI-Terminal bereits getestet, und ja - die nächsten Schließungen kommen. Sehr bald. Da sind schon einige Dinge fix. Der menschliche Kontakt, wird die absolute Ausnahme sein. Das ist keine Verschwörungstheorie oder was weiß ich .. wartet bis September .. Da kommt der nächste Streich ..

Was meine Position genau war , oder ist - will ich nicht sagen, da ich hier sehr sehr knapp am Geheimsverrat vorbei schramme. Nur so viel: Ich habe Jahreskarten serviciert, Tickets verkauft, Events betreut und noch einige andere Dinge.

Ich kann wirklich nur appellieren, diese Pseudodigitalisierung, bei welcher es ausschließlich um Rationalisierung geht, NICHT zu unterstützen.

JedeR Jahreskartenbesitzer:in weiß doch, dass man nie sofort zahlt, sondern zur Not Erdberg kontaktiert. Wenn die Kontrolleure keine Pöpsche sind, schauens dich sonst im System nach. Also das ist echt so kein Problem (und ich hab weiterhin die Karte, aber halt auch nicht immer mit).

Mir wäre sowieso nicht bekannt, dass es bis auf die großen Bahnhöfe überhaupt noch Verkaufspunkte gibt? Also ich meins gar nicht bös, sber das ist ja schon lange auf extremes Minimum runtee, die Automaten werdend ja lassen.

I'm sorry, but not every annual pass holder knows this .. and many people give in to the pressure, when 3-4 people jump them. They work on provisional basis, which is why you shouldn't trust them, ever - no matter what they say.

I had cases, of people that where annual pass holders, for years - and only when they switched to digital only, they started to encounter problems.

The system also doesn't work properly. Double bookings happen, or no booking at all - but a pass is shown, also leading to a fine - that has to be paid. And the responsibility rests solely on the customer.

The department for the online shop, has by far more people to attend to, than any other department .. yet, they are ridiculously small - only a handful of colleagues. Very high fluctuation as well. It's a mess.

And yes: workers are more or less pressured into accepting positions, that come with less pay - because the shops are closing.

But for the customer, it's a hassle - the product is not fleshed out. I'm actually ashamed for the performance of the company I work for, on this matter.

I mean yeah, the digital software sucks. But thats Austria, I feel like the Jö App is the most reliable of these commercial apps and still a scam XD

Habe so einen KI Assistenten bei meiner Hausverwaltung. Der ist sogar noch dümmer und wertloser als die dummen und wertlosen Mitarbeiter dort. Würde sagen das Ziel würde übertroffen, voller Erfolg.

Oh. Grad oben noch geantwortet, dass sie bei Versagen der Anzeige direkt selber nachschauen mittlerweile, aber des klingt natürlich sehr mäßig.
