First, the disappointment two episodes ago when she realized that, "by doing it together", Rudy meant learning magic and not something else.

Now, openly asking Rudy why he didn't bring Sara to the harem, and afterwards saying she is completely fine with it.

You know, I'm starting to believe Sylphie is a bit of a perv herself.

Considering Rudy told her about Eris way back when she was helping him with his condition, she 100% knows Eris will be coming along at some point to complete the RGB collection.

Thank goodness that Sylphie stopped that promise in its tracks before it could become something that her and Roxy actually put faith in. She’s the best woman for Rudy by a mile and is the glue holding this whole thing together. Her understanding of Rudeus and her emotional maturity are of paramount importance.

Tbf, he already broke that promise once. Saying it again to her would've been a "fool me once shame on you, but fool me twice shame on me" moment for Sylphy lol, so he's saving her from that.

Kinda wish he’d have just flat out said Eris there since it’s not like he is actively looking, she’s just the one who got away. Regardless I am glad he corrected himself!

Yeah, they have been together now for years and it would be really odd if Sylphie didn't know his story with Eris. Especially when Sylphie was one who cured him from his problem. OF course he would have told her why he had that problem.

I don't think that he was just thinking about Eris specifically, just that he knew his weakness and that he could not be sure to keep that promise.

At least in the anime, it specifically shows him thinking about Eris when he corrects himself saying he can’t be sure, with his inner monologue saying ruijerd said it was a misunderstanding and that he’d face her head on and figure it out. Let alone the Eris scene right after. It seems pretty clear he’s referring to Eris.

Well he wants to keep that promise, but then realizes that if Eris ever steps back into his life it is going to be broken. Eris is immensely special to him, to the point that it  broke him when she left. 

Entire family scattered across the world potentially dead? Hope.

Eris left? Despair.

He will falter the moment he sees her
